          1.4SUBMITTALS

          C.Shop Drawings: Submit manufacturer's shop drawings, including plans, elevations, sections and details, indicating dimensions, tolerances, materials, fabrication, glazing, fasteners, hardware, finish, electrical diagrams, options and accessories.

          1.5QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Manufacturer shall have 25 years experience manufacturing and fabricating windows of similar type and scope as those specified in this section.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications: Installer shall have five (5) years experience manufacturing and fabricating windows of similar type and scope as those specified in this section.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
 
          C.Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
          1.Finish areas designated by Architect.
          2.Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.
          3.Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
 
          1.6DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Deliver materials to site in manufacturer's original unopened shipping containers and packaging, labeled to clearly identify product name and manufacturer.
 
          B.Store materials in a clean dry area, indoor until ready for installation.
 
          C.Store and dispose of any solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
 
          1.7PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
 
          1.8WARRANTY
 
          A.At project close-out, provide to the owner a copy of the manufacturer's standard Limited Material Warranty document. Pass-Thru windows shall be warranted as follows:
          1.One (1) year limited material warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
          2.Five (5) year limited warranty against defects in the anodized aluminum finish.
          3.Five (5) year warranty against glazing seal failure, glazing delamination and defects in glazing manufacturing.

          4.Three (3) year limited warranty from paint manufacturer for color and film integrity.

          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Examine areas to receive pass-thru windows. Notify architect of conditions that would adversely affect installation or subsequent use. Do not proceed with installation until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected.
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          C.Ensure openings to receive pass thru windows are plumb, level, square, accurately aligned, correctly located and within manufacturer's tolerances.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install all products in this section in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
 
          B.Install windows plumb, level, square, true to line, and without warp or rack.
 
          C.Anchor windows securely in place to supports. Use attachment methods permitting adjustment for construction tolerances, irregularities, alignment, expansion and contraction.
 
          D.Separate aluminum from other metal surfaces using bituminous coatings or other means approved by Architect.
 
          E.Install metal flashings as specified in Section 07620.
 
          F.Install joint sealers as specified in Section 07920.

          3.4ADJUSTING
