This section is based on the products of FSB USA, which is located at: 1 Bishop Lane Madison CT 06443 Tel: 203-404-4700 Fax: 203-404-4710 www.fsbusa.com FSB has produced door hardware for over a century and is now one of the leading international architectural hardware manufacturers. FSB's lever designs are so admired that four have been added to MoMA's permanent collection. Now FSB USA has successfully combined European design with American lock technology. We offer our locksets with over thirty standard levers, in both stainless steel and anodized aluminum, reasonably priced for mid-to-large size commercial projects. FSB locksets are supplied with US manufactured, ANSI standard (Grade 1) UL listed (3 Hour) mortise locks, UL listed (3 Hour) tubular latches and mortise bolts, and residential tubular latches. FSB also manufactures pull handles, door stops, flush pulls, bell pushes, and signs. For effective selection of products, obtain the FSB design manual or visit www.fsbusa.com to view the designs available. This section can be used to specify all door hardware required but does not currently include specifications for hinges or door closers, since FSB does not currently make those items. A hardware schedule, if required, will need to be prepared separately.

	3.1	EXAMINATION

	3.5	HARDWARE SETS
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Any project with a large number of doors with different types of hardware will need a hardware schedule. Hardware sets are the easiest way to develop a schedule. Each set itemizes generically the pieces of hardware required, by reference to the names and function descriptions in PART 2. The set for each door is then indicated either on the floor plans or in a Door and Frame Schedule on the drawings. For smaller, simpler projects, it may be possible to describe in words in the specification what is needed on each door -- eliminating the need to develop sets. If so, be sure to require a complete schedule submittal from the hardware supplier in PART 1.
