C.Install a 6 mil vapor barrier over the entire surface of the subfloor prior to installing the floating subfloor system.

D.Provide a minimum 3/8 inch (10 mm) expansion gap around perimeter of the room and any fixed objects. Provide additional expansion joints for; installations greater than 900 square feet (83.6 sm); spaces with dimensions greater than 33 feet (10 m ); or at transitions between two rooms or asymmetrical areas. Do not fix or fasten floating floor to the sub floor or any moldings or skirting boards.

F.Lay floating floor beginning in one corner with the tongue side of plank against the wall and completing each row. When the first row is complete, using body weight on the installed floor will make installing subsequent rows easier.

G.Lay floor materials from alternate boxes to help evenly distribute any shade variations on the tiles.

H.Cut the final plank of the first row to the correct length and start the second row with piece remaining from this cut. Starter pieces shall be at least 12 inches (305 mm).
