          1.4SUBMITTALS
 
          A.Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
 
          B.Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
          1.Preparation instructions and recommendations.
          2.Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
          3.Installation methods.
 
          C.Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings for each type required, showing layout, profiles and product components, including anchorage, accessories, finish colors, patterns, and textures. Include wiring diagrams.
 
          D.Quality Assurance/Control Submittals: Submit the following:
          1.Certificates: Product certificates signed by manufacturer certifying materials comply with specified performance characteristics, criteria and physical requirements.
 
          E.Closeout Submittals: Submit the following:
          1.Operation and Maintenance Data for installed products in accordance with Division 1 Closeout Submittals (Maintenance Data and Operation Data) Section.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete selection samples if colors have already been selected.
 
          F.Selection Samples: For each finish product specified, two complete sets of color chips representing manufacturer's full range of face material and trim for finishes, colors and textures. Submit manufacturer's color charts.
 
          G.Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square, representing actual product of face, core, backing material and trim for finishes, colors and textures.
 
          1.5QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in visual display surfaces and which has at least 5 years experience in the production of the products specified.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications: Installer experienced in performing work of this section who has specialized in installation of work similar to that required for this project.
 
          C.Regulatory Requirements:
          1.Conform to applicable code for flame/smoke rating of tackboards in accordance with ASTM E84.
          2.FCC safety and EMC standards for compliance.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
 
          D.Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
          1.Finish areas designated by Architect.
          2.Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship and finish color are approved by Architect.
          3.Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
 
          1.6DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
 
          B.Deliver factory built units completely assembled in one piece without joints whenever possible.
 
          C.Storage and Protection: Store materials protected from exposure to harmful weather conditions and at temperature and humidity conditions recommended by manufacturer.
 
          D.After opening and inspecting boards for damage, return them to their original crates or cartons for storage and do not uncrate until boards are to be installed.
          1.When uncrated, do not allow boards to lean at an angle against a wall or other objects, or to lie on the floor for any length of time.
          2.Store boards in as close to a vertical position as possible.
 
          1.7PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
 
          B.Existing Conditions:
          1.Verify actual dimensions by field measurement before fabrication; show recorded measurements on shop drawings.
          2.Coordinate field measurements and fabrication schedule with construction progress to avoid construction delays.
 
          1.8WARRANTY
 
          A.Manufacturer's Warranty: Submit, for Owner's acceptance, manufacturer's standard warranty document executed by authorized company official. Manufacturer's warranty is in addition to, and not a limitation of, other rights Owner may have under Contract Documents.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Marsh Electronic Markerboards powered by Mimio.
          1.Submit a "Warranty", stating that under normal usage and maintenance, and when installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations, with the exclusion of electronics from the warranty, are guaranteed for the life of the building. Guarantee covers replacement of defective boards but does not include cost of removal or reinstallation.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Specify warranty term. Refer to manufacturer's literature for warranty period offered.
          a.Warranty Period: __ years commencing on Date of Substantial Completion.
          2.Submit a "Warranty" stating under normal usage and maintenance and when installed in accordance to manufacturer's instructions and recommendations, Mimio 520-1001 Pen 3 Interactive, 520-1003 Wireless USB dongle and 520-1005 HDK Wireless Stick, are guaranteed for one year.

          2.1MANUFACTURERS

          2.2ELECTRONIC MARKERBOARDS
 
          A.Product: Marsh Markerboards powered by Mimio as manufactured by Marsh Industries Inc.
          1.Writing Surface: Porcelain enamel coated 28 gauge (0.378 mm) steel markerboard.
          a.Writing Surface Material Standard: Manufactured in accordance with Porcelain Enamel Institute's S-104 Performance Specification for Porcelain Enamel Markerboards and Chalkboards. Porcelain enamel finish shall be fusion bonded to steel substrate at lowest possible temperature to reduce steel and porcelain stresses and achieves superior enamel bond and hardness.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete core material not required.
          2.Core Materials: 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) Industrial Fiberboard.
          3.Core Materials: 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) Class "A" rated Micore.
          4.Core Materials: 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) Particle Board.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete panel backing not required.
          5.Panel Backing: (92 gauge) Mylar Panel.
          6.Panel Backing: 0.005 inch (0.127mm) Aluminum Foil Panel.
          7.Panel Backing: 0.015 inch (.381mm) Aluminum Sheet Panel.
          8.Laminations: Hot-type neoprene contact adhesive applied to both surfaces, each substrate having a minimum of 80% covering with 1.5 - 2.0 dry mils (0.038 - 0.051 mm) of adhesive. Panel components shall have uniform pressure applied mechanically over entire area.
          9.Material: Extruded Aluminum Trim.
          a.Finish: Clear satin anodized.

          1.520-1005 HDK Wireless Stick shall be housed in an aluminum receptacle with white powder coated finish. Housing shall be factory-mounted.
          2.Interactive area location shall be the center of the board unless noted otherwise approved submittals.

          2.3FABRICATION
 
          A.Shop Assembly: Provide factory assembled units, except where field assembled units are scheduled or required.

          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          C.Site Verification of Conditions: Verify substrate conditions, which have been previously installed under other sections, are acceptable for product installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
 
          D.Verify that interior temperature and humidity approximate normal conditions of building occupancy.
 
          E.Verify that wall surfaces are prepared and ready to receive boards.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Coordinate article below with manufacturer's recommended installation details and requirements.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Compliance: Comply with manufacturer's product data, including product technical bulletins, product catalog installation instructions and product carton instructions for installation.
 
          B.General: Do not install boards on damp walls or in damp and humid weather without heat in the building.
 
          C.Install level and plumb, keeping perimeter trim straight in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
 
          D.Verify that accessories are installed as required for each unit.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Electronic markerboards only. Delete if not required.
 
          E.520-1003 Wireless USB dongle and 520-1005 HDK Wireless Stick must be bound and functional test completed prior to or during installation
 
          F.Site Tolerances: Comply with applicable installation tolerances for manufacturer's specified product(s) installation tolerances.

          3.4FIELD QUALITY CONTROL

          3.5CLEANING
 
          A.Remove temporary coverings and protection of adjacent work areas.
 
          B.Repair or replace damaged installed products.
 
          C.Clean installed products in accordance with manufacturer's instructions prior to owner's acceptance.
 
          D.Remove construction debris from project site and legally dispose of debris.
 
          E.At completion of work, clean surfaces and trim in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, leaving all materials ready for use.
 
          3.6PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
 
          B.Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
