          1.5QUALITY ASSURANCE

          B.Product Requirements: products shall comply with the following standards where applicable.
          1.Americans with Disability Act (ADA) for clearance and profile of gripping surfaces and hand holds.
          2.UL Classified conforming with NFPA Class A fire-rating:
          3.Surface burning characteristics per UL-723: Flame spread of 10 and smoke development of 350 to 450.
          4.Flammability: Provide corner and wall guards with a CC1 classification, as tested per the procedures specified in ASTM D635, Standard Test Method for Rate of Burning and/or Extent of Time of Burning of Self-Supporting Plastics in a Horizontal Position.
          5.Chemical and Stain Resistance: Provide corner and wall guards that show resistance to stain when tested per applicable provisions of ASTM D543.
          6.Fungal and Bacterial Resistance: Provide corner and wall guards that use materials that do not support fungal and bacterial growth tested in accordance with ASTM G 21 and ASTM G 22.
          7.Color consistency: Provide corner and wall guards that show color consistency between components of no greater than 1.0 units using CIE Lab or similar color space scale units.

The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.

          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

          3.1EXAMINATION
