	1.3	SUBMITTALS
		A.	Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
		B.	Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
			1.	Preparation instructions and recommendations.
			2.	Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
			3.	Installation methods.
		C.	Shop Drawings: Provide drawings as necessary to detail the plan, section and elevation of each unit and the layout of each unit or bank of lockers.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete selection samples if colors have already been selected.
		D.	Selection Samples: For each finish product specified, two complete sets of color chips representing manufacturer's full range of available colors and patterns.
		E.	Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square, representing actual product, color, and patterns.
		F.	Manufacturer's Certificates: Certify products meet or exceed specified requirements.
		G.	Closeout Submittals: Provide manufacturer's maintenance instructions that include recommendations for periodic checking and adjustment of cable tension and periodic cleaning and maintenance of all railing and infill components.
	1.4	QUALITY ASSURANCE
		A.	Manufacturer Qualifications: Manufacturer with a minimum of 10 years documented experience manufacturing products specified in this section.
		B.	Installer Qualifications: Single installer with a minimum of five years documented experience installing products of the same type and scope as specified in this section.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
		C.	Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.

	1.5	DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
		A.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
		B.	Store and dispose of solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
	1.6	SEQUENCING
		A.	Ensure that locating templates and other information required for installation of products of this section are furnished to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.
		B.	Ensure that products of this section are supplied to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.
	1.7	PROJECT CONDITIONS
		A.	Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
	1.8	WARRANTY
		A.	Provide manufacturers five year limited warranty. Warranty shall include all defects in material and workmanship, excluding finish, vandalism and improper installation.

	2.2	PISTOL LOCKERS (GUN LOCKERS)
		A.	FC-700 Pistol Locker: Heavy Duty Law Enforcement Pistol Lockers.
			1.	Size: Each compartment is 10 inches wide by 10 inches deep by 8 inches high.

			4.	Frame: Each unit is framed with a 2 inch by 2 inch by 1/8 inch steel angle frame, welded to the body for either surface mount, recess mount or semi recess mount.
			5.	Doors: Doors are 10 gauge steel, cut out to fit so the face is flush with the front of the cabinet to resist prying.
			6.	Locks: Each compartment provided with a Master # 1714 zinc plated snap lock, bolted to the door with 2- #10 tamper resistant screws
			7.	Hinges: 16 gauge continuous piano hinge welded to the door and frame, recessed into the frame for no access to the hinge pin.
			8.	Provide fasteners and anchorage devises to install lockers.
			9.	Finish:
				a.	Complete locker unit to be thoroughly cleaned, phosphatized and sealed.

				d.	ELR-772 (Non pass thru) Refrigerated Evidence Locker
			2.	Construction:
				a.	Lockers to be all welded construction with exposed welds sanded smooth.
				b.	No bolts, screws or rivets used in assembly of locker body.
			3.	Body of Lockers:
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select the following paragraphs for steel lockers and delete the stainless steel lockers below.
				a.	Sides and Intermediate Partitions: Exterior sides constructed of 16 gauge cold rolled sheet steel.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select the one following two paragraphs for Pass-Thru or Non-Pass Thru steel lockers as required and delete the one not required.
				b.	Backs (Pass Thru) Doors are 16 gauge steel, formed panel with double bends on both sides and top and bottom, solid welded corners. Stiffener runs vertically from top to bottom and welds to flanges on the inside of door panel. Latch and rod mechanism covered with internal plate to prevent tampering. 3 point latch.
				c.	Backs (Non-Pass Thru) is solid sheet of 16 gauge cold rolled sheet steel welded to frames of sides and intermediate partitions.
				d.	Shelves: Constructed of 16 gauge cold rolled sheet steel welded to sides and intermediate partition construction. Each front and back edge is formed down with a return flange for extra strength.
			4.	Frames:
				a.	Vertical 16 gauge H frame is securely welded to body frame and intermediate partitions to construct a solid 1 piece unit.
				b.	Horizontal 16 gauge steel anti pass hidden frame securely welded to body and center frame channel. Frame reduces possibility of tampering. Frame consists of holes for interlocking 3 point latch bolts.
			5.	Doors:
				a.	Doors are 16 gauge steel, formed panel with double bends on both sides and top and bottom, with solid welded corners. Full width doors include a 16 gauge steel hat channel stiffener. Each door incorporates a 16 gauge steel inner panel to cover the lock mechanism.
				b.	Furnish each locker with black vinyl number plate with etched white numbers. Owner to furnish numbering sequence.

			6.	Locks Pass Thru:
				a.	Turn handle 1 way locks operate positive 3 point latching system. Once T handle is operated, lock cannot be unlocked from the front side. Internal latch release can be accessed from the evidence room side of the locker to release the lock for use after the evidence is removed.
				b.	Stainless steel lock bar and plated steel latching rods, 3/8 inch diameter, engage top and bottom and edge of locker frame.
				c.	Felt door bumpers fastened to the corners of each door for silent operation.
			7.	Locks Non-Pass Thru:
				a.	Turn handle 1 way locks operate positive 3 point latching system. Once the T handle is turned, the separate key lock operates and latch cannot be opened until lock is operated by key operation.
				b.	Stainless steel lock bar and plated steel latching rods, 3/8 inch diameter, engage top and bottom and edge of locker frame.
				c.	Felt door bumpers fastened to the corners of each door for silent operation.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select the following optional paragraphs for electronic locking system as required.
				d.	Provide with optional electronic locking system
			8.	Hinges: 16 gauge continuous piano hinge welded to the door and frame, recessed into the frame for no access to the hinge pin.
			9.	Closed Base: Each unit mounts to an all welded 16 gauge steel base, 4 inches high with a 2 inch deep kick space. Level and fasten the base to the floor and bolt the locker to the base from the inside of the bottom compartments
			10.	Trim: Manufacturer's standard fabricated from 16 gage solid steel finished to match lockers. 2-1/2 inches wide by full height and width of locker bank.
			11.	Provide fasteners and anchorage devises to install lockers.
			12.	Finish:
				a.	Complete locker unit to be thoroughly cleaned, phosphatized and sealed.
				b.	Finish to be baked on polyester powder coat
				c.	Color of lockers as selected from manufacturer standard colors.
			13.	Accessories:
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select one or more of the following optional paragraphs if required and delete those not required.
				a.	Mail slots: Provide mail slots cut into door at time of fabrication. Coordinate size and location with Owner.
				b.	Perforated rear doors: Provide 1-1/2 inch perforations in rear door of each locker to allow vision into the locker compartments and maintain the strength of the door and channel stiffener.
				c.	Refrigerator Insert:
				d.	At openings indicated provide all stainless steel refrigerator inserts with pass thru or non pass thru individual compartments. Refrigerator body and doors are 18 and 20 gauge stainless steel with 2 inch insulated walls and stainless steel interior panels. Cooling range 38 to 42 deg F with digital temperature, power indicator and control with audible alarm. Power 115 VAC, 6 Amp.
				e.	Hinges are 16 gauge stainless steel piano hinges. Lock mechanism operates with the same pass thru or non pass thru lock mechanism as the main evidence lockers with turn handle one way locks and internal releases.
	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
	3.3	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
		B.	Securely anchor equipment to as indicated on the Drawings and as recommended by the manufacturer.
		C.	Upon completion of installation, inspect lockers and adjust for proper door and locking mechanism operation.
	3.4	CLEANING
		A.	Clean interior and exposed exterior surfaces, removing debris, dust, dirt, and foreign substances on exposed surfaces.
		B.	Touch up scratches and abrasions to match original finish.
		C.	Polish stainless steel and non-ferrous metal surfaces.
		D.	Replace locker units that cannot be restored to factory-finished appearance.
		E.	Use only materials and procedures recommended or furnished by locker manufacturer.
	3.5	PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
	3.6	SCHEDULES
