QUALITY ASSURANCE
A.
Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing the products specified in this section with at least three years of documented experience.
B.
Source Limitations: Obtain each type of locker lock from single source and from single manufacturer.

PROJECT CONDITIONS
A.
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

Keypad uses "Touch Technology" in lieu of "Membrane Keypad Technology" that is simply a waterproof membrane over an operable switch, so touch based keypad buttons will not wear out.
Each lock may be either programmed for Free Mode or Fixed Mode at the discretion of the facility, and changed from one to the other with the Programming Key. Delete lock mode not required.

Feature Descriptions:
1.
Free Mode/Day Use Keypad Lock: User enters their personally selected 4-digit code to lock the locker and upon entering the same 4-digit code the lock is unlocked and is, Free. A new 4-digit code is entered again to lock and then unlock the locker lock.
a.
Provides for locker use by several different customers per day.
b.
If code is forgotten use wireless controller to open locker for user.
2.
Fixed Mode/Assigned Use Keypad Lock: Assigned locks for a fixed period of time for use by specific user with access by entering their personally selected 4-digit code.
a.
Locks may be programmed for member or long term use and are only accessible by user with personally selected 4-digit code.
3.
Free Mode/Day Use - Coin Version Keypad Lock: User is required to deposit a coin before they can enter their personally selected 4-digit code, and access is provided each time user enters their code.
a.
Prevents unauthorized locker reservation without first depositing a coin or token that is returned, for use of the locker.

Bracelet Proximity Media, Wrist Strap: Wrist bracelet containing close range, low power, transponder media and used to access locker and also for tracking personal monetary transactions that may occur while using facility.

Operation:

Entering: User inserts one or two coin deposit to obtain bracelet.
b.
Exiting: Once the user has vacated their locker leaving the locker unlocked, settled any outstanding bills, and inserts the bracelet into the return unit the user will be returned their coin deposit and turnstile is activated allowing the user to exit the facility.

PART 3 EXECUTION
 
3.1
EXAMINATION
A.
Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
B.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
C.
Verify that lockers are in correct position and configuration.
D.
Verify upon receiving materials on the project site that they are undamaged and that delivery is complete including accessories and necessary documentation.
1.
Do not begin installation of these materials if damage to materials is suspected, contact manufacturer for further instructions.
3.2
PREPARATION
A.
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
B.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
3.3
INSTALLATION
A.
Install locks in accordance with technical operating conditions described in manufacturer's written instruction manual.
B.
Installation and handling of materials shall be by manufacturer authorized personnel and qualified installation specialists.
C.
Do not remove or replace the protective covers of products and materials.
D.
Coordinate position of lock to locker body to ensure latching mechanism works properly.
3.4
PROTECTION
A.
Protect installed products until completion of project.
B.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
