          A.LGA Guidelines - LGA QualiTest GmbH, Furniture Test Institute, based in Nuremberg, Germany:
          B.IP55 - Enclosure-Ingress Protection, European Standard.
          1.Ingress of dust is not entirely prevented, but it shall not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the equipment; complete protection against contact.
          2.Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
          A.Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
          B.Product Data: Provide data on locker lock types, sizes and configurations, including:
          1.Preparation instructions and recommendations.
          2.Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.

          C.Shop Drawings: Indicate locker plan layout, direction of door swing, locker numbering plan with lock types and locations and denomination of coins used for locks where applicable.
          D.Manufacturer's Installation Instructions: Indicate locker locks component installation assembly.
          E.Verification Samples: Two samples of each lock type indicated..
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing the products specified in this section with at least three years of documented experience.
          B.Source Limitations: Obtain each type of locker lock from single source and from single manufacturer.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
          C.Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
          1.Finish areas designated by Architect.
          2.Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.
          3.Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
          A.Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
          B.Store and dispose of solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

          A.Touch Lock: Keypad locker locks.
          1.Power Supply: 4, AA 1.5 volt batteries.
          a.Adequate for 30,000 cycles.
          b.Provide low battery detection and warning.
          2.Communication Interface: Infrared/Wireless control.
          a.Programming Key: Programs designated locks according to defined plan for facility and managed by individual as assigned by Owner.
          1)Master Service Key: Allows for opening and closing of locker if dedicated user forgets key code.
          2)User Key: Allows for key use by disabled users unable to operate keypad.
          3)Events Key: Allows for recovery of events with date and time, and last entered code.
          3.Temperature Range: Minus 4 degrees F (Minus 20 degrees C) to 158 degrees F (70 degrees C).
          4.Enclosure: Protected from dust and water, IP55 rated.
          5.LED Colors: Red, green and amber.
          6.Casing Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), high impact and torsion resistant.

          16.Indicate swing direction of locker doors based on hinge side of either left of right.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Edit the following keypad locker locks feature description as applicable to project specified, and provided additional details regarding requirements as determined by the Owner.
Keypad uses "Touch Technology" in lieu of "Membrane Keypad Technology" that is simply a waterproof membrane over an operable switch, so touch based keypad buttons will not wear out.
Each lock may be either programmed for Free Mode or Fixed Mode at the discretion of the facility, and changed from one to the other with the Programming Key. Delete lock not required.
          A.Free Mode/Day Use Keypad Lock: User enters their personally selected 4-digit code to lock the locker and upon entering the same 4-digit code the lock is unlocked and is, Free. A new 4-digit code is entered again to lock and then unlock the locker lock.
          1.Provides for locker use by several different customers per day.
          2.If code is forgotten use wireless controller to open locker for user.
          B.Fixed Mode/Assigned Use Keypad Lock: Assigned locks for a fixed period of time for use by specific user with access by entering their personally selected 4-digit code.
          1.Locks may be programmed for member or long term use and are only accessible by user with personally selected 4-digit code.
          C.Free Mode/Day Use - Coin Version Keypad Lock: User is required to deposit a coin before they can enter their personally selected 4-digit code, and access is provided each time user enters their code.
          1.Prevents unauthorized locker reservation without first depositing a coin or token that is returned, for use of the locker.
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
          C.Verify that lockers are in correct position and configuration.
          D.Verify upon receiving materials on the project site that they are undamaged and that delivery is complete including accessories and necessary documentation.
          1.Do not begin installation of these materials if damage to materials is suspected, contact manufacturer for further instructions.
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
          A.Install locks in accordance with technical operating conditions described in manufacturer's written instruction manual.
          B.Installation and handling of materials shall be by manufacturer authorized personnel and qualified installation specialists.
          C.Do not remove or replace the protective covers of products and materials.
          D.Coordinate position of lock to locker body to ensure latching mechanism works properly.
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
          B.Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
