	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The following two paragraphs include vehicular gate operators that are categorized by different classes of operation as required by the UL 325 safety standard. Each class of operation has specific entrapment prevention features required. The most stringent requirements are for Class I operators and the least stringent are for Class IV operators. Be sure to specify the operator for the usage it was designed for, with a correct class of operation required by the gate's particular application. . Class I - Residential; Intended for use in a one to four single family dwelling, or garage or parking deck for such. Class II - Commercial/General Access; Intended for use in commercial location such as multi-family housing unit (five or more single units), hotel, retail store, or buildings servicing the general public. Class III - Industrial/Limited Access; Intended for use in industrial locations such as factory or loading dock area not intended to service the general public. Class IV - Restricted Access; Intended for use in guarded industrial location or building such as an airport security area or other restricted access locations not serving the general public, in which unauthorized access is prevented by supervising security personnel.
		B. 	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
	3.3	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The following two paragraphs apply to all models except 9300, which is designed concrete pad mounting only, and 9200, which is designed to be pedestal mounted. Delete two of the following three paragraphs.
		B.	Mount directly to concrete pad, firmly secured, plumb, and level.
