SUBMITTALS

Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Manufacturer: Minimum 5 years experience manufacturing similar products.

Installer: Minimum 2 years experience installing similar products and acceptable to the manufacturer.

Deliver, store and handle materials and products in strict compliance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations and industry standards. Protect from damage.

SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING

Conference: Convene a pre-installation conference to establish procedures to maintain optimum working conditions and to coordinate this work with related and adjacent work.

PROJECT CONDITIONS

SECURITY LOUVER SYSTEMS

** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The ADS-L-60M Forced Entry Louvers are capable of resisting 60 minutes of forced entry assault and defeating multiple impacts of 7.62mm NATO and 5.56mm projectiles as defined by applicable U.S. Government Standards. Basic Use: These louvers are used to provide protection in those areas susceptible to mob or terrorist attacks. Applications are likely to be at emergency generator rooms for intake and exhaust. Limitations: These louvers have been designed to meet the 60 -minute forced entry and high powered rifle requirements as set forth in DOS SD-STD-01.01, Rev G (amended). It is recommended that each end user determine the forced entry threat and choose the correct product to meet and resist that threat. Delete if not required.

Forced Entry Resistant Louver Assemblies:

Model: ADS-L-260M as manufactured by American Physical Security Group, LLC.

Louver Construction: Provide louvers constructed of ballistic steel angles in chevron arrangement.

Louver Frame Construction: Provide louver frame assembly constructed of formed steel with steel tube loose stops. predrilled to accept 1 2mm anchors @ 12 inch (305 mm) on center.

Shims: Provide shims to take up the space at each anchor between the frame and rough opening.

Subframes: Provide subframes to meet the forced entry requirements of DOS SD-STD-01.01 (Rev. G Amended), steel tube subframes of 1/4 inch (6 mm) wall thickness minimum.

Limitations: This door has been designed to meet the high power rifle and 15-minute forced entry requirements as set forth in DOS SD-STD-01.01, Rev G (amended). We recommend that you determine the forced entry threat and choose the correct product to meet and resist that threat. Delete if not required.

EXECUTION

3.1

INSPECTION

Installer shall examine substrates, supports, and conditions under which this work is to be performed and notify Contractor, in writing, of conditions detrimental to the proper completion of the work. Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected. Beginning work means Installer accepts substrates and conditions.

3.2

INSTALLATION

Strictly comply with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations and approved submittals Securely anchor work to substrate including the following:

Install frames into rough opening with built-in jack screws and clamp-on design.

Attach to concrete or masonry with Hilti Epoxy Anchoring System or by the use of steel embeds, 1/2 inch (13 mm) thick minimum.

Repair minor damage to eliminate all evidence of repair. Remove and replace work which cannot be satisfactorily repaired.
