          A.Electric Radiant Floor Heating System: Provide a radiant floor heating system that complies with the following requirements:
          1.Heating cables for manufacture in mat form or loose cable form shall be recognized to UL 758.
          2.Heating mats for installation in cement-based mortar or over wood subfloors shall be listed to UL 1673 and CSA- C22.2 No. 130-03.
          3.Heating cables for installation in cement-based mortar shall be listed to UL 1673 and CSA C22.2 No. 130-03.
 
          B.Electric Snow Melting Systems: Provide an electric snow melting system that complies with the following requirements:
          1.Snow melting cables/mats for installation in concrete, asphalt, or under pavers shall be Listed to UL 1673, UL 515, ANSI/IEEE 515.1 and CAN/CSA -C22.2 No. 130.
 
          C.Electric Infrared Glass Radiant Heating Panels: Provide radiant heating panels that complies with the following:
          1.cULus to UL2021 and CSA c22,2 no46.
 
          1.6QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications:
          1.ISO 9001 certified facility; minimum 15 years experience manufacturing products similar to those specified herein.
          2.Company that provides 24/7 technical installation support, and free design assistance.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications:
          1.An installer with documented experience on projects of similar size and complexity.
          2.Installer with licensed electrician on staff to perform electrical rough in and connections.
 
          C.Single Source Requirements: Provide products and accessories from a single manufacturer to the greatest extent possible.

          D.Pre-installation Meetings:

          2.2ELECTRIC RADIANT FLOOR HEATING
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** TempZone™ Floor Heating: Electric radiant heating rolls are available in both 120V and 240V in sizes up to 156 square feet for a single mat. Multiple mats can be installed on a single control. This product is most commonly installed under tile, stone, hardwood, engineered wood, and resilient floors embedded in latex Portland cement (thin-set mortar) or self-leveling cement. The fabric only but not the wire of the electric radiant heating rolls can be cut and turned allowing for easy field customization. Please note that there is no heating or efficiency differences between 120 volt and 240 volt systems.
 
          A.TempZone Floor Heating: Electric radiant heating roll constructed of a twin conductor-heating element attached to a fiberglass mesh.
          1.Heating element consists of copper alloy resistance wire covered by fluoropolymer insulation, two such insulated cores surrounded by the metal sheath, and metal sheath serves as a ground sheath and a second final layer of fluoropolymer insulation is applied and serves as the outer shell.
          2.Heating Element is laid, in a serpentine pattern, to a flexible Fiberglass Mesh with double side adhesive tape. Fiberglass Mesh is designed to keep the Heating Element evenly spaced at 3.15 inches on center throughout the roll.
          3.Provided with 15 feet cold lead, factory installed (spliced) at one end of the heating roll for connection to power supply at the perimeter of the heated space.
          4.Heating rolls produce 15 watts per square foot

          B.ValueMat Floor Heating: ValueMat is designed to offer the luxury of a floor heating system within a budget. Mats are sized for warming area in front of the bathroom vanity, toilet, shower or tub.
          1.Heating element consists of copper alloy resistance wire covered by Teflon insulation. Braided metal surrounds the primary Teflon insulation, and serves as a ground sheath and a second final layer of Teflon insulation is applies and serves as the outer shell.
          2.Heating Element is sewn, in a serpentine pattern, to a flexible Fiberglass Mesh with a poly-blend thread. Fiberglass Mesh is designed to keep the Heating Element evenly spaced at 3 inches on center throughout the mat.
          3.Provided with two cold lead return wires factory installed (spliced) at each end of the heating roll for connection to power supply at the perimeter of the heated space. Provided with one lead at 13 feet and one at 26 feet.
          4.Heating rolls produce 15 watts per square foot

          C.Environ II Floor Heating: Electric radiant heating mat constructed of a heating element sandwiched between layers of foil.
          1.Heating element consists of multi-stranded copper conductor alloy resistance wire spaced at 2 to 3 inches on center and covered by PVC insulation. Heating Element is sandwiched between layers of foil. The foil provides each mat heater with ground.
          2.Provided with a 30 foot cold lead return wire factory installed (spliced) for connection to power supply and thermostat or power module at the perimeter of the heated space.
          3.Heating mats produce 12 watts per square foot.

          D.Electric Indoor Slab Heating Mats: Slab Heating Mats are designed for quick and easy installation. Mats are offered in 1.5 foot (457 mm) or 3 foot (91cm) widths and lengths ranging from 11 foot (335cm) to 56 foot (1,707cm). Available in 120 volt and 240 volt configurations, each mat utilizes a twin-conductor cable evenly spaced to generate 20 watts per square foot (215 watts/m2) of output. Each mat is also equipped with 20 foot (610cm) of cold lead for easy power hook-up.
          1.Installs in concrete or in mortar under pavers.
          2.Available in 1.5 foot (46 cm) and 3 foot (914 mm) widths

          3.4FIELD QUALITY CONTROL AND TESTING
 
          A.Protect heating mat/cable against site damage if there is a delay between product installation and covering installation.
 
          B.Perform electrical resistance measurements for each section of system and record in the mat/cable as-built data before, during, and after product installation.
 
          C.Test system briefly after installation for function and integrity but do not place system into full operation until concrete, mortar or other coverings as applicable are fully cured per manufacturer specifications.
 
          D.Keep records of system products, test results, and photographs for as-built record.
 
          3.5DEMONSTRATION
 
          A.Demonstrate operation of electric floor heating or snow melting system to Owner's personnel.
 
          3.6PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
 
          B.Repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
