DESIGN / PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
A.
Design Requirements: Design glass partition system to withstand live loads in accordance with applicable Building Code with maximum L/120 deflection.
B.
Regulatory Requirements: Provide tempered or laminated safety glass for locations subject to human impact as required by the applicable Building Code.
C.
Acoustical Requirements: Sound reduction tested in accordance with BS 2750: Part 3: 1980 and rated in accordance with BS 5281: Part 1: 1984.

DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

Ensure that locating templates and other information required for installation of products of this section are furnished to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.

PROJECT CONDITIONS
A.
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

Field Measurements: Verify opening dimensions of all-glass partitions by field measurements before fabrication and indicate the measurements on Shop Drawings. Coordinate fabrication schedule with construction progress to avoid delaying the Work.

If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.

PREPARATION
A.
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
B.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
3.3
INSTALLATION
A.
Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and approved Shop Drawings.
B.
Use anchorage devices to securely attach assembly to structure.
C.
Install components plumb and level, in proper plane, free from warp and twist.
D.
Install glass and accessories in accordance with GANA Glazing Manual.
E.
Installation Tolerances:
1.
Maximum variation from plumb or level: 1/8 inch in 3 feet or 1/4 inch in any 10 feet, whichever is less.
2.
Maximum misalignment of members abutting end to end: 1/16 inch.

ADJUSTING
A.
Adjust doors for smooth operation throughout full operating range.
3.5
PROTECTION
A.
Protect installed products until completion of project.
B.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
3.6
CLEANING
A.
After installation and adjusting clean metal and glass surfaces to remove dust, loose fibers, fingerprints, adhesives, and other foreign materials.
