Exterior Use: Spanish Cedar is a wood with several qualities that make it ideal for
exterior as well as interior use. It is a true hardwood unlike all other cedars.
This makes it much more durable and better able to hold up to storms and hurricanes.
Another important feature is that the wood grain of Spanish Cedar naturally allows
moisture to "breathe" out preventing it from rotting. This is one of the reasons it
is the wood traditionally used for humidors. Spanish Cedar is also very similar in
coloring and grain pattern to true Honduran Mahogany which makes it an ideal cost
effective alternative. Other wood species are available upon request.
