Sectional doors are the most widely used upward acting doors today. They are typically constructed of four or more horizontally hinged sections which are raised and lowered with the assistance of a spring counterbalance. Sectional doors are guided open and closed by continuous tracks on each side of the jambs that allow the door to move upward, resting horizontally above the opening, vertically, or at an angle along the wall above the opening. Clopay Building Products offers three main types:

Insulated Steel
Heavy-duty steel sectional doors with a core of thermally efficient insulation for energy conservation in industrial, commercial and institutional applications. PAN doors are more economical and get their strength from ribbing. SANDWICH doors provide a higher R-value and get their strength from "double pan" bonding to insulation core.

Non-Insulated Steel
Heavy-duty steel sectional doors for most industrial, commercial and institutional applications.

Full View Aluminum
Sectional doors that can provide large glazed areas. Especially suited for commercial applications where high visibility and light transmission are important.
