STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS
Where installation requires lateral bracing, locate braces no wider than 96 inches (2438mm) on centerlines
The depth of the brace below the counter and vertical support (brace) above the counter must maintain a ratio of at least 20 percent of the total
installation height
Install 1 1/2 inch (39mm) square steel tube braces below the counter and hoods with a minimum wall thickness of 1/8 inch (3mm).
Welded in place and include two vertical and horizontal members. Bolt or weld a diagonal member between the two horizontal members
Extend braces located above the counter and hoods to the top of the acrylic slotted jump shield. Material to be of the specified bullet resistant material.
At no time shall the vertical supports be less than 10 inches (254mm) in depth
