Exclusive Ultra-tec® Cable Railing hardware is designed especially for cable railings. All mounting and tensioning devices are sleek, type 316 stainless steel. They are designed to eliminate the sharp edges, long bulky fittings, uneven hand-crimped studs, and other unattractive end fittings often found on hardware intended for marine or industrial uses.
Some terminals can be concealed inside the end posts. All are suitable for indoor or exterior cable rail applications. Hardware is available for use in metal framed or wood railings.

Isolation Bushings
The new isolation bushing is made of black nylon and is mounted to both sides of the metal post (one per side). The back side bushing would be held in place by the through-the-post fitting. The bushing on the inside of the post will be held in place by a dot of silicone placed by the installer. The purpose of the bushing is to prevent dissimilar metals from touching one another. When they do, in an environment where there is an electrolyte present (like salt air), the two metals can electrochemically react to one another, causing corrosion, the most common example of which is rust, which can stain your posts. Keeping the metals apart with this bushing can help prevent that corrosion. Drill hole size is 41/64 (21/32 is okay if a 41/64 bit can"t be located).

With the addition of these Pull-Locks for 1-1/2" pipe, 2" pipe, and 2-1/2" tube, there are now Pull-Locks to complement every length of Invisiware" Receiver tensioner we offer for metal posts up to 3" in length.

Swageless Tensioning Fittings - Adjust-a-Body® with Threaded Eye
The mounting end on each of our Adjust-A-Body® tensioners has a male thread that mates with the female thread within the body of the tensioner. The swaging ferrule is swaged onto the cable and holds the cable inside the body. The body rotates on the cable and provides a considerable amount of take-up during tensioning with an open-end wrench. After tensioning, the lock nut locks the assembly in place.

Cable Grommets
Cable grommets are offered for popular cable diameters of 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4". They help prevent rust in exterior applications or elsewhere where moisture is a factor, by providing a barrier between the cable and the painted or powder-coated surface through which the cable is drawn when being installed. Ultra-tec® cable grommets are installed after the paint or powder coating is applied into holes in intermediate posts, cable braces and end posts, where the terminal (Radius Ferrule for example) does not reach all the way to the inside of the post where the cable exits. They are offered in black UV resistant Delrin®. Order cable grommets by diameter of cable and post wall through which the cable will be drawn. Cable grommets are available in lots of 100 each. From 5 TO 60 Lengths For Wood Or Metal Posts
All cable railing kits come with stainless steel cable railing hardware fittings for both ends of your cable run, all washers and fasteners necessary, choice of 1/8" or 3/16" diameter 1x19 Type 316 stainless steel cable, and installation instructions. Our Stainless Steel Cable Railing Kits are formatted specifically for common dimensioned wood and metal end posts without the need for any field swaging tools or equipment.
Order the DIY cable railing kits in cable length increments of 5' to 60' lengths. You will cut the cables to their proper lengths on site. Each kit contains one cable and all associated hardware. Accessories, such as mounting tabs, cable cutters, and other installation aids and equipment are ordered separately.
For coastal applications in a salt water environment, it is strongly recommended that E-Z Clean is purchased along with any kits. While Type 316 stainless steel, the most corrosion and rust-resistant stainless steel available, is used almost exclusively in our hardware, it is stain-less steel, not stain-proof. If you'"re near the ocean, some maintenance will be required.
