Wire ropes are made of high-strength cold-drawn wires. The wires 1 area helically wound around the core 2 to form a strand, 3 the strands are then twisted around a steel core 4 to produce the finished ropes. 5 The length of lay L is the measuring value for the pitch of a lay.
The fill factor is the ratio between the metallic cross sections and the total rope cross section.
The metallic cross section (mm2) is the sum of the cross sections A of all wires in the rope.
The nominal strength is the tensile strength of the wire in newton (N) per square millimeter.
The calculated breaking strength is the product of the metallic cross section and the nominal strength of the wires.
The minimal breaking strength of the rope is the product of the calculated breaking strength and the spinning loss factor.
The actual braking strength is determined in a destructive test of the entire rope leg.
The spinning loss factor is a correction value which takes into account the difference between the calculated and the actual breaking strengths.
Webnet is a woven product with exceptional tensile resiliency and flexibility. It is weather resistant, extremely robust and requires virtually no maintenance. The stainless steel net is suited for interior and exterior applications.
Installed on railings or in stairways, it provides stability and clear guidance. On faCades, it can serve as a climbing support for plants or it can set delicate accents as a dividing element in large spaces.
Webnet has been assessed according to standard specifications and subjected to many test measurements: As a permanent protection and fall-stop feature for bridges or observation platforms, it is totally UV resistant and weatherproof - in contrast to traditional knotted synthetic-fibre rope nets.
The greatest advantage, however, is its delicate structure. Especially in zoo animal enclosures or protective nets, the visual impairment due to the unavoidable barrier is minimal.
Wire Mesh - Webnet is used for railing infills or as a substitute for standard railings. It is equally suitable for such applications in residential, semi-public, and public spaces. Whether in homes, in kindergartens and schools, in museums and offices, on bridges or publicly accessible vantage points: Webnet is always convincing because it combines functionality, aesthetic appeal, economical use of materials, and longevity. And not least, this product is sustainable in the best sense of the term, especially as regards its cost-effectiveness.
Apart from the comparatively low investment, one of the key benefits of Webnet is that it involves virtually no maintenance expenditure.
For architects and builders, the fascination of Webnet as a railing material is based chiefly on its usefulness paired with its uniquely minimal visual impact. Thanks to its discreet and unobtrusive appearance, it can be deployed in practically every style context and for implementing a host of design approaches. In many situations, Webnet gives planners totally new aesthetic and creative options. In staircases that require no handrails, for instance, it can completely replace a railing by stretching it across an oriented surface; this emphasizes the architectural form with impressive purity.
Cable Railing is safety railing that use horizontal or vertical cables in place of spindles, glass, mesh, etc. This type of railing is most often used when an unobstructed view is desired. The Cable Railing can be installed in either metal or wood posts, depending on the customer's likes. Horizontal or vertical cable solutions for railing are an excellent way to achieve a modern look while still maintaining the functionality of traditional railing. Cables also require considerably less maintenance and upkeep than traditional railing systems.
There is a considerable amount of load requirements necessary for cable railing; and because of this, the way the posts are constructed is crucial. The posts should be quite rigid and firm to be able to withstand the amount of force that is applied to the post as a result of the tension of the cables. This is why wood and metal are typically used as posts, because these types provide the most support and rigidity.
For residential railings, the typical diameter of the cables used are either 1/8″ or 3/16″; and 3/16″ and 1/4″ for commercial railings. The strand of cable comes in several different options including stainless steel. The most common cable construction is 1x19 type strand, which houses 19 cables twisted into one bundle.
There are various requirements for constructing the cables, including the spacing between cables, the construction of the top rail, diameter of the cables, post spacing, and cable tension. These requirements vary depending on the state and location in which the cable railing will be placed.
Green Walls - Contemporary architecture is increasingly focusing on Vertical Greening Systems as a means to restore the environmental integrity of urban areas, biodiversity and sustainability. Planners and architects who have teamed up with Jakob Rope Systems are already producing outstanding results and are defining new dimensions for “art on buildings" with Jakob Green FaCade System.

Vertical Green can be classified as faCade greening according to the growing method employed. A Green FaCade use supporting structures and climbing plants that will trail along the structure with soil at the base of the wall. This techniques have a stunning visual effect and serve to increase the green space of a city. Green facades are typically outdoors and indoor and are limited to species of plant that can climb the structure.
The support structure can be our wire Trellis System, Cable System or Mesh System.
