Roseburg was founded in 1936, which means we've been around for more than 75 years. That may seem like plenty of time in human years, but at that age, a tree is just coming into its own. We like to think that as a company we're doing the same.
Our company founder Kenneth Ford was a pioneer in the forest products industry. In 1946, he blazed a trail by purchasing 15,000 acres of timberland: Today, Roseburg owns over 600,000 acres of viable timberlands, ensuring consistent forest products for the future. We started designing a plywood facility in 1950, and soon began producing wood products as well as lumber. In 1997, Allyn Ford, Kenneth's son, assumed ownership, meaning that Roseburg has been closely-held for 75 years. It's been a good start.
All of Roseburg's manufacturing is done in the U.S. What started as a single sawmill in 1946 has grown into the Roseburg of today: America's single broadest mix producer of green wood building products, owner of the largest capacity sawmill in the country, and the greatest exporter of wood chips in the U.S. Roseburg's engineered wood products facility is also one of the largest facilities in the nation.
At Roseburg, we offer custom industrial performance panels built to each customer's specifications, and the Roseburg mixed trucks and boxcar shipping solutions mean that we can customize both orders and shipping to suit each customer's needs. While every customer is different, we treat them all equally by giving them exactly what they're looking for.
Whether you are designing furniture, commercial fixtures or cabinets, you can count on Duramine® to offer great looks and proven value. Our broad selection of rich woodgrains, contemporary abstracts, solid colors and fine textures offer everything you need to design and manufacture extraordinary finished products. Roseburg goes the extra step to ensure that quality is built in - all the way through the process.
How It's Made
Roseburg Duramine® Thermally Fused Laminate panels consist of resin-saturated decorative papers thermally fused under heat and pressure to a substrate of Roseburg SkyBlend® or UltraBlend particleboard, SkyPly® hardwood plywood or medium density fiberboard (MDF).
Roseburg's Cambium Deep Texture is a fresh take on TFL panel texture that adds tactile realism and a light-catching element that is growing in popularity for both commercial and residential applications. Part of the Relevance Collection and Linea designs, the Cambium texture is available in ten designs, including neutral and warm colors that complement a wide palette of hues and patterns.
Roseburg is offering Cambium TFL through a stocking program that is the first of its kind in the industry. The turnaround is very quick (shipping in 48 working hours) along ESP Level 1 guidelines with the opportunity for the distributor to fill the rest of the truck load with commodities - perfect for the small job requiring a panel that is outside the normal distributor stocking inventory.
This year, Roseburg came up with a new approach to TFL design. We looked at broader design trends in decorative panels. Then we carefully selected designs that would be relevant to those trends across commercial and residential markets. The result is the Duramine Relevance Collection ™ Four designs with broad appeal that bridge the gap between modern and conservative.
Taking advantage of the growing walnut trend, this design uses a subtle linear pattern that works well at large scales, and blurs the lines between modern and exotic.
Based on quarter-sawn white oak, this design is a complex gray with a mix of warm and cool colors for balance. A universal design, Ruby Beach works well with a wide range of complementary colors.
A complex neutral inspired by cathedral-cut ash, this design is a strong design for residential, retail, and hospitality. Calm Horizon is a very rustic design, evoking images of a vintage beach house at dusk.
A reconstituted veneer structure in a taupe gray, this design is highly consistent and has no true grain pattern. It's designed to be a volume workhorse in offices and kitchens.

Our exclusive Duramine® Designed-To-Match System is a program built to save you time locating the primary components you need to match our Duramine thermally fused laminate. By partnering with well known leaders in the high pressure laminate, edgebanding and 3D laminate business, we have put together one of the most comprehensive matching lists available. You do not have to spend time looking for various component matches to Duramine laminate panels. We've done all that work for you and simplified the process with our handy, cross-referencing Excel spreadsheets:
Duramine® ESP Best Sellers and Synergy Partners Collections combine to offer over 800 designs. For more information pertaining to the Duramine Synergy designs please contact your local distributor or our Western Sales Department at 800-245-1111 or our Eastern Sales Department at 866-387-2646.
Roseburg UltraFinish panels are produced with a clear, solid or woodgrain pattern painted directly onto the substrate. UltraFinish complements our line of Roseburg Duramine® and are perfect for drawer bottoms, cabinet backs or any other application in which thermally fused laminate is not required.
Roseburg offers the most technically diverse line of medium density fiberboard (MDF) products in North America. From moisture resistant to flame retardant to no-added formaldehyde (NAF), Roseburg has an MDF panel to suit your every need. Working on a LEED® Project? You'll be pleased to know that all of Roseburg's MDF products contribute to points for Materials & Resources due to their recycled content and the option of purchasing FSC® Certified product. In addition, we have a line of Sustainable Design Fiberboard products that contribute to Indoor Environmental Quality due to our manufacturing process that uses a formaldehyde free binder system.
Roseburg flame retardant Medite® FR is made with a formaldehyde free adhesive system and is designed for critical applications where Class 1 flame retardant material is required. Medite® FR has a low flame spread and smoke development as well as extremely low VOC emissions. During the manufacturing process, the flame retardant additive is blended with the fiber throughout the panel. This process delivers superior performance versus topical flame retardant applications. In addition, Medite® FR can be machined, cut, sanded, and grooved without compromising the flame retardant properties.

The Roseburg Framing System® consists of: RFPI® Joists used in floor and roof construction; RigidLam® LVL which is used for headers, beams, studs and columns; and RigidRim® rimboard. All of the components are engineered to the industry's highest standards to help contractors build solid, durable, and better performing framing systems compared to ordinary dimension lumber.
You've probably been framing with traditional solid sawn lumber beams, headers, columns and studs for as long as you've been building. Now, through advances in technology and design, there is a better choice - RigidLam® LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) beams, headers, columns and studs. They are simply a better alternative than traditional solid sawn lumber pieces. Why not make the job easier by working with a stronger, stiffer, consistent and more predictable building material. Compared with similar sized sections, our RigidLam LVL products can support heavier loads and allow greater spans than conventional lumber.
Roseburg RFPI® I-joists are used in floor and roof construction and are engineered to make the job easier. RFPI's are the ideal choice for engineers, specifiers and builders who want to provide their customers with high quality floor systems. They provide consistent performance for the most demanding residential applications. RFPI Joists are an inherently green product because they are a more efficient use of raw materials. To manufacture our EWP products, we use fast growing, under-utilized and less expensive wood species; therefore, large old growth trees are preserved. By design, engineered wood products require much less wood to achieve the same load bearing capability of solid sawn lumber.

To manufacture our EWP products, we use fast growing, under utilized, and less expensive wood species; therefore, large old growth trees are preserved. As a component of the Roseburg Framing system®, Rigidrim™ OSB and LVL rimboard allows contractors to quickly frame the perimeter of their floor system and is one of the most cost effective methods to properly transfer vertical and horizontal loads around the I-joist and directly into the supporting walls. Roseburg's RigidRim is dimensionally stable and resists shrinking and warping. It also provides a smooth nailing surface for the attachment of exterior sheathing, siding and ledgers.
