Anti-Reflective Glass: Reduce glare for crystal clear vision and added safety
GlareShield® is an anti-reflective double side coated glass that provides improved visual transmission, picture clarity and reduced glare with its very low residual reflection. Traditional glass reflects 8-12% of the incident light. GlareShield®, however, reflects as little as 0.5% of the incident light, allowing up to 99.5% of light to pass through without unwanted reflections or mirror-like effects. It is thus used in structures where low glare is a requirement and crystal-clear quality of glass is key, as in larger west facing facades, retail displays, stadiums, and viewing galleries.
GlareShield® provides a new dimension for glass as it is seemingly invisible with almost no reflectance or colour distortions in transmission. Produced with a durable multi-layered optical thin coating with Magnetron Sputtering Technology which performs like hard coating, it can be tempered, laminated, double-glazed or ceramic printed using VisionInk®. GlareShield® is available on regular float, extra clear and tinted green and grey float glass.
GlareShield® Features & Benefits
Durability
GlareShield® is produced by Magnetron Sputtering Technology which creates a superior hard coating finish. The multilayered coating of metal oxide does not corrode, is hard wearing and durable. In terms of abrasion resistance, GlareShield® is comparable to regular clear float glass.
High VLT
GlareShield® improves transparency and increases light transmission with its high degree of clarity and non-reflective surface.
Optical Clarity
GlareShield® reduces glare, mirror-like effects and reflections to minimum. With a reflection of less than 0.5%, the nonreflective properties are optimised for direct viewing of the glass, making it almost invisible.
Machinery Glass Products
Our heavy machinery glass is specifically developed as the ultimate safety and protection glass for use in forestry harvester equipment, mining vehicles and other heavy machinery. ArbourShield® is a fully certified solution for where protection from impact risks is required.
Unparalleled strength and unobstructed visibility is delivered through a combination of reinforced laminated glass outer layers and high-grade poly-composite inner core. This protects the operator inside the cab from chain shot, falling objects and other projectiles.
ArbourShield® heavy machinery glass has been extensively impact tested and proven to be over 10x stronger and more impact resistant than standard laminated windscreens of the same thickness.
Bespoke specialty automotive glass - armoured glass solutions for specialty vehicles
DuraShield® automotive glass can be specified with attack, bullet or blast resistant or other armour requirements and be manufactured to a wide range of thicknesses, in a variety of shapes for armoured vehicles.

Ezone® Marine is a technologically advanced glazing solution to help moderate inbound solar heat gain in a super-yacht or other luxury marine vessel. Perfect for pilot houses or any area on a vessel that experiences excessive exposure to the sun. It is a quality alternative to double glazed units potentially contributing to significant weight, and on-going fuel savings.
A pyrolytic process embeds invisible heat-reflective materials to the glass, allowing light to enter, but reflecting much of the inbound heat. It is possible to configure Ezone® Marine to maximize heat retention for vessels in cooler climates.
Specifying Ezone® Marine with DuraShield Marine® delivers all the benefits of exceptional thermal performance and the ultimate in strength and clarity. It can be supplied in laminated form that may eliminate the need for storm covers, or monolithic toughened (tempered) form which may require storm covers.

It is a wire-free glazing solution for windows susceptible to fogging or freezing over. The technology features a metallic coating between the interlayer and glass that conducts power evenly to gently warm the window with absolutely no obstruction to visibility from wires, making it ideal for pilothouses.
Incorporating DuraShield Heat-R® with DuraShield Marine® and the benefits the high performance interlayer provides delivers exceptional visibility as well as the ultimate in strength and clarity in extreme (freezing) climates.

Bullet resistant glass: ultra high grade security laminate for definitive protection from ballistic weapons
AmmoShield® bullet resistant glass encapsulates exceedingly high velocity projectiles without allowing penetration through the armoured panel, making it ideal for use in areas of high risk or where the threat of fire-arms is prevalent.
AmmoShield® is a polycomposite-glass laminate, custom-constructed to meet clients' specified protection levels. In addition to the specified protection from ballistics, AmmoShield® provides up to 60 minutes resistance under sustained attack from an intruder with simple hand weapons.
AmmoShield® protects the critical operational areas of buildings, houses, marine vessels and land vehicles where precautions against attack are required. AmmoShield® is typically used in embassies, court houses, banks, armoured vehicles, VIP housing, panic rooms. It must be installed in an approved ballistic framing system.
NATA accredited testing laboratories have subjected Glasshapes bullet resistant glass to cover all the requirements of AS/NZS2343:1997 and NIJ0108.01:1985. We can test customised glass make-ups to these standards or other applicable standards if required.
Most AmmoShield® bullet resistant products are comprised of multi-laminated glass with a poly-composite spall panel on the non-attack side to stop glass fragments from being thrown from the back of the panel in the event of attack. We have also designed all glass AmmoShield® make-ups with an anti-spall film on the non-attack face for situations such as oversize windows or in areas with hot, humid environments where the poly-composite option may not be suitable.

Glazing with confidence - take the worry out of installing glass
As part of the Glasshape® experience, you can now enjoy the assurance of worry free glazing by asking for NsureGlaze® to be added to you project. It's simple, it works. For a small charge, you get huge value and guaranteed margin.
NsureGlaze® offers you full replacement of glass supplied by Glasshape® should you damage or break it during installation. This means you no longer have to over-inflate your margin to cover your risk when glazing a high value product such as curved glass. If you inadvertently damage or break the glass, Glasshape® will resupply the glass to point of original supply at no cost to you.
NsureGlaze® puts the onus on Glasshape®. NsureGlaze® means you can glaze with confidence that your profit is not at risk. It also means you can price projects with a more competitive margin to help you win projects rather than loose them due to excessive margins to cover your perceived risk in glazing.
NsureGlaze® is an optional term offered as part of a glass supply contract from Glasshape® and is not an Independent Insurance Cover. NsureGlaze® does not replace your public liability or other insurance covers. NsureGlaze® does however offer you peace of mind and security of your profit.

The recently completed South Tower expansion to the Memorial Hermann - “The Woodlands Medical Center“, in Houston, Texas, has added a total of 351,636 square feet to the hospital’s campus. The expansion increases the hospital’s total bed count for patients to over 500 from its previous 397; adds 10 new operating rooms; and expands the hospital’s endoscopy center, heart center, emergency center and diagnostic imaging.

S C Railings (Trex Commercial Products) won the contract to supply the railing package. They utilized Glasshapes on-site digitizing service to scan the raw staircase, create an As-Built 3D CAD Model, and produce the glass
The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston, TX, is the city’s first elite destination for elegant accommodations masterfully blended with extensive conference facilities, prominent office space, designer fashion, signature dining and sophisticated amenities all in one tower.
We are very excited and proud to bring you a mind-blowing mega mansion project that we completed in partnership with New Concepts Glass Design in Utah, USA. The project focused solely on the leisure and recreation wing of the house, which contains an indoor swimming pool and spa, golf putting greens, an abseiling wall, gymnasium, a racquetball court, and half basketball court.
Glasshape provided digital field measuring services, 3D laser scanning the house whilst it was under construction. This data was processed by Glasshape’s in-house design team, 3D modelling the as-built structures and designing our signature TemperShield 14.28mm (9/16″) low iron, laminated bent glass to fit perfectly with the structure of the house.
The project encompassed the manufacture and supply of no less than 3 unique bent glass curved staircases, over 45 linear meters (approx. 148 linear feet) of bent glass overlook railing and an impressive floor to ceiling bent glass wall in the gymnasium, providing an elevated and unobstructed view over the indoor swimming pool.
This spectacular privately owned house is located in an exclusive gated community, in arguably one of the best ski resort areas in the United States. Nestled among lush groves of aspen trees, rolling meadows, and sparkling streams with impressive mountain backdrops, this house is truly one of a kind.
