Carrying Bridging Channel

DASS bridging channels are used for stiffening steel stud walls both non-loadbearing and loadbearing walls and partitions. The channel is turned to lock it into place within the stud knockout in order to provide resistance to twisting of the steel stud due to wind or axial loading. The bridging channel is also the preferred way of installing a drywall ceiling with furring channel connected perpendicular to the bridging channel suspended from the structure above.

Resilient Channel

With more and more multiple occupancy buildings being built, sound transmission (STC) has become a bigger factor than ever in wall and ceiling design. DASS resilient channel significantly improves STC ratings when applied to walls or ceilings. By installing the one leg to our steel studs, the other leg then “floats” eliminating a direct connection between one side of the wall and the other.

Dass Slotted Track System

DASS slotted track is designed to accommodate wall deflection in both loadbearing and non-loadbearing applications. Slotted track leg height is 2-1/2” and allows for deflection through its pre-punched 1-1/2” slots along both flanges of the track. The slots are spaced at 1” on center to allow for maximum flexibility. The slotted track is fast and economical reducing labor cost and material required while accommodating deflection requirements in virtually all applications.

Drywall J Trim

DASS J trim is produced in satin coated galvanized steel and used as a means to protect drywall edges. While L trim also protects drywall edges, J trim is used where the preference is to paint the longer leg versus finishing the L trim as is done in the application of corner bead.

Drywall L Trim

Drywall L Trim, also known as “half-bead” is used for protection of drywall edges. The 1-1/4 leg is fillable like a cornerbead with the 1/2 or 5/8 leg protecting the top edge.

Drywall Corner Bead 90/130 Degree

DASS metal corner bead is 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ and produced in both a 90-degree angle and a 130-degree angle for “open” corners. Our corner bead is easily fastened with nails or screws to protect corners and leave a crisp and clean finish after the application of the compound.

Drywall Furring Channel

Drywall furring channel is a versatile “hat shaped” section with many applications. Most commonly, furring is used to provide a means to connect your finished wall product to the structure behind it. Furring is often used over concrete surfaces as a means of attaching drywall. It is also used in applications such as metal siding where it is attached horizontally to the structure and then acts as a base for screw fastening the siding. Furring is also the preferred method of constructing a drywall ceiling where it is connected perpendicularly to bridging channels with the drywall subsequently screwed to the furring.
