KriegerBlast Explosion Resistant Door Assemblies

Definition

Blast-Resistant: Door and window assemblies designed to protect personnel and property from the destructive effects of explosions or deflagrations, and explosion borne missiles.

Typical Applications

Refineries, industrial sites, or any facility used for the containment of hazardous material or for the protection of personnel or sensitive equipment. KriegerBlast pre-engineered blast door assemblies are available to meet all of the latest UBC/ICBO/FM requirements for hazardous material storage.

KriegerBlast Features

Effectiveness: KriegerBlast door assemblies and windows are available up to 12.0 PSI rating. Available options include absence of permanent deformation, limitation of deflection, remaining operable after single or multiple incidents, resisting penetration by explosion borne missiles, and available with ASTM E90-90 acoustical ratings to STC-53.

Fire Rating: UL fire-rated (up to and including 3 hours) and non-labeled construction designs available.

Krieger Capabilities

Door Configurations: Single, or pairs of, hinged doors, manual or power assisted and single or biparting horizontal sliding doors, manually or power operated. Select from standard or custom sizes.

Hardware: Swing door hardware includes modified builders hardware or specially fabricated locks and hinges as required by the blast resistance rating. Slide door hardware includes low friction trucks and rollers, low voltage control circuitry for electrical operators and a variety of operator actuation devices.

Glass: Calculated and certified glass or glass/polycarbonate glazing materials are available.

Finishes: In addition to our standard factory prime paint, we can supply galvanized steel, enamel finish paints, wood veneers, plastic laminates and #2B, #4 and #6 mechanical finish stainless steel.
