The locker room is absolutely amazing," said Candice Lee, athletic director at Vanderbilt University. “I'm so excited, because these kids deserve that. They deserve it, and it also feels good to be able to tell the donors and the people who have supported this project that this is a tangible thing and we're ready to press ‘go' on that."

The locker has forced air into the shoulder pads to air dry and help stop staph infections. It will also help when they spray the gear and sanitize to help cleaning at a faster rate and will stop the spread of viruses and bacteria through the gear.

Each locker features a patent-pending, built-in recliner and sleep pod element with a roll up door that each player has complete control over.

A dual fan drying system is integrated into a pullout tray to circulate air in each set of pads, a helmet fan drying system

In total, the new locker room project has 16 patented items specific to Vanderbilt's lockers, and Longhorn Locker Co. said Vanderbilt has exclusive rights to them until 2022.

Some of the patented features of the new lockers include:

  • A shoulder pad Waterfall Battle Gear rack

  • A dual fan drying system integrated into a pullout tray to circulate air in each set of pads, a helmet fan drying system

  • A quick dry compartment with an Air Raider fan drying system to help dry the equipment and slow the spread of staph infection and other contagious diseases

  • A ventilated system to help dry the equipment and slow the spread of staff infection and other contagious diseases

  • A patent-pending built in recliner and sleep pod element with a roll up door that each player has complete control over

  • A unique light-up player graphic

  • The locker itself is manufactured out of antimicrobial materials and patented stainless steel and marine-grade vinyl cushions

Longhorn Lockers equipped the Air Force Football program with a new locker room inside its 11,000-square foot facility, a major expansion of the 3,875-square foot locker room the Falcons had previously.

We knew it was a pretty ambitious project with the locker room and yet one that was much, much needed. You look, and it's been over 55 years since that locker room has really been molded in any fashion

The team was introduced to their new locker facilities following a team meeting. Located on the main level of the Student Athlete Building, the locker room underwent a complete interior reconstruction with upgraded amenities within the existing locker room footprint.

Members of the BYU football team got a welcomed surprise on Monday when the just-completed football locker room renovations in the Student Athlete Building were revealed to the team for the first time.

“This is awesome. We are super grateful for the staff, administration and school for these renovations," said BYU junior center James Empey, a 2020 team captain. “We are blessed to have such a nice place to utilize as we get ready for workouts, practices and games. I liked that they involved us as players and made sure to ask us what we were looking for and what we wanted in a locker room. It was great to have that input in the process. There is so much attention to detail. This is great."

The custom-designed lockers cost roughly $8,700 each. Helmets sit on cooling fans to dry, 37-inch TV's tower above each locker displaying the athlete's photos and names, and each player can access their belongings with a pin-pad safe. A lot of locker rooms have the team logo on the floor. The Longhorns now have a glowing Bevo on the ceiling. The Longhorns run a top-notch program both on and off the field, which is sure to help with recruiting for years to come.

The 2017 renovation of the University of Texas locker rooms started with a dismantling of their existing facility. Then Coach Tom Herman hefted a sledge hammer and made sure the players and staff were fully engaged in the moment, “We're committed to giving you guys the best facilities in America. And that starts right now, so I'm going to take a swing. And seniors, you get a little ceremonial swing, too."

Every aspect of the renovation was designed to make UT facilities reflect the university's commitment to continued excellence throughout the program.

Every aspect of the lockers, every design element, every piece of furniture, and every lighting sequence was carefully chosen to set a new standard of excellence. For many players this place exceeds their wildest expectations, giving them a genuine home-away-from-home.

The practice facility for the Rams hasn't been touched since the team made the move from St. Louis back in 2016. Recently, the entire locker room was gutted and completely revamped, with upgrades being made across the board. If it could be improved, it looks like the Rams took the time to make it happen. New lockers, seating, lightning, flooring, the whole dang thing is brand-spanking new. Although the team is planning to begin the new era of Rams football with a new stadium, the team's headquarters are remaining in Thousand Oaks at Cal Lutheran. A few exquisite details include the chrome detailing around the edges, including the name plates.

Upon entering the Los Angeles Rams' locker room, the first thing that jumps out is that there are no orthodox “lockers". Instead, each player has a hole in the wall that acts almost like their own personal closet. Each “locker" is blocked off by dividers that are similar in size and style to flags. Each player's name has been typed out on a sign above their locker in big letters. The middle of the room is completely open. Each locker is built into the wall, setting up a perimeter of lockers that circle the room.
