A surface-applied, integral crystalline waterproofing material, PENETRON is used for waterproofing and chemical protection at above and below ground level.PENETRON is applied by brush or spray to either the positive or the negative side of the concrete and in the presence of moisture penetrates deeply into the structure. The ensuing chemical reaction fills microcracks, pores and capillaries with an insoluble crystalline formation, which prevents water and water-borne chemicals from entering, even under high hydrostatic pressure. Cracks that develop during the lifetime of the concrete are resealed by PENETRON, resulting in permanent concrete protection.
PENETRON ADMIX SB is identical to our 3rd generation crystalline admixture, but packaged in convenient, pre-measured soluble bags for easy application when adding the product to the new concrete batch. As a quality guarantee, PENETRON ADMIX SB features our unique ‘green tracer' indicator to signal that genuine PENETRON ADMIX is in the mix.
Once inside the concrete, PENETRON ADMIX SB reduces permeability by permanently sealing micro-cracks, pores and capillaries. This protects the concrete against water penetration and effects of deterioration, even under high hydrostatic pressure. It provides projects with a self-healing capability to reseal cracks that develop during the lifetime of the concrete.
PENETRON ADMIX SB is compatible with all commonly used workability admixtures (e.g. superplasticizers, retarders) and mix design formulations (trial mixes recommended prior to casting).
PENETRON ADMIX RP is our tried and true Penetron Admix formulation with the addition of red pigment to meet the specification requirements of certain precast underground markets. Packaged in convenient, pre-measured soluble bags for quality control and easy application, PENETRON ADMIX RP is ready to use when adding product to the new concrete batch. As a quality guarantee, PENETRON ADMIX RP features a red pigment to permanently color the concrete to ensure visibility at a distance during inspection and to signal that genuine PENETRON ADMIX RP is in the mix.

Used in combination with PENETRON for filling non-moving cracks and construction joints, form-tie holes, honey-combed areas and structurally damaged concrete. PENECRETE MORTAR consists of Portland cement, very fine treated silica sand and various active, proprietary chemicals. It is applied in laminated layers to areas that have been opened and cut-back to sound concrete for repair to provide protection against water ingress.
PENEBAR SW 55 creates a physical barrier against water penetration through cast-in-place concrete joints that expand (in a controlled fashion) when exposed to water. Its superior ability to expand and seal concrete joints allows it to replace the more passive tied in PVC water stop systems, which easily bend over during casting, and eliminate welding irons, split-forming and special shapes.
Recommended for building foundations, slabs, retaining walls, storage tanks and other immovable cold construction joints, PENEBAR SW 45 is a unique sealing compound designed to expand rapidly when exposed to water. It is an ideal self-healing joint material for construction joint applications.
The new “Seven I" apartment project in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, was completed in September 2020, before the start of the region's cold winter weather. The Penetron System was applied to the below-grade concrete structure to solve problems caused by a failed membrane system.
Launched in November 2020, just in time for summer in South Africa, the Postmasburg municipal water storage reservoir now provides the growing community a secure and constant supply of drinking water. PENETRON ADMIX was used to ensure a waterproof - and non-toxic (NSF-61-certified) - solution for the enormous concrete structure.
Officially inaugurated in 2019, the new EuroChem Northwest ammonia plant reached forecasted annual output in September 2020. Penetron crystalline technology was applied to the concrete structures of the cooling tower to ensure that everything stays cool during an uninterrupted production process.
The expansion of the WholeStone Farms pork processing facility in Fremont, Nebraska was completed in September 2020. The $200 million project included a new wastewater treatment facility. The concrete treatment tanks and walls of the plant were treated with PENETRON ADMIX to ensure waterproof and durable concrete structures.
The October 2020 opening of The Main Las Olas, a 1.4 million square foot mixed-use development, creates a new urban center for Fort Lauderdale, Florida. PENETRON ADMIX was used to waterproof the below-grade concrete foundation structures.
The newest Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Rostov-on-Don, Russia welcomed their first guests in October 2020. PENETRON ADMIX was used to ensure permanent waterproofing of the hotel's below-grade concrete structures.
The grand opening of La Nube (“The Cloud"), a 35-floor apartment tower, in October 2020 added 178 luxury apartments and a new architectural highlight to Monterrey's growing skyline. PENETRON ADMIX, a crystalline waterproofing admixture, was used to treat the below-grade structures to counter the effects of the marshy ground and high-water table typical of the city's swampy geology.
929 Alton, a retail/office building in Miami Beach, was inaugurated in September 2020. Located on Miami Beach Island and looking out on to Biscayne Bay, Penetron provided the technology for a durable waterproofing solution for the below-grade concrete elements and exposed parking decks.
