Jeffrey Beers International (JBI) was commissioned by the Ark Restaurant Group to create a modern renovation of the iconic Sequoia Restaurant set on the banks of the Potomac River. The design goal was to create an art gallery that also serves as a destination point bar and 860-seat restaurant. The floor-to-ceiling windows and the glass handrail provide stunning views of the river, the plaza area that includes a large modern sculpture, the Kennedy Center and other landmarks. GGI's Alice® direct-to-glass printing was incorporated in the glass handrail system installed in the mezzanine. The white fade design fits perfectly with the artistic modern interior design and functions beautifully - offering guests the ability to enjoy the outdoor showcase while maintaining privacy and creating a unique ambience for the mezzanine level dining area.
