          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Verify that hoistways are plumb and square; confirm dimensions before beginning installation.

          C.If hoistway preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory conditions before proceeding.
 
          3.2INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions provided and in compliance with requirements of the National Electrical Code, ANSI A17.1 Code, and applicable State and local building codes.
 
          B.Adjust for smooth acceleration and deceleration of car and for consistent stopping at each landing.
 
          3.3PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
 
          B.Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
