          1.6PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCE
 
          A.Convene a conference approximately two weeks before scheduled commencement of the Work. Attendees shall include Architect, Contractor and trades involved. Agenda shall include schedule, responsibilities, critical path items and approvals.
 
          1.7DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations.
 
          B.Protect from damage due to weather, excessive temperature, and construction operations.
 
          1.8PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.
 
          1.9WARRANTY

          A.Prefabricated Modular Aluminum Stair Systems as manufactured by G and A Manufacturing Inc. Universal stair and landing components that can be assembled for left, right, or perpendicular access.
          1.Performance Requirements:

          a.Structural Performance:
          1)Stair and Guard Rails: The following loading requirements are not to be applied simultaneously in any combination.
          a)Hand Rail Concentrated Load Capacity: 200 lbs (90.7 kg) applied at any point and in any direction on top rail and transfer loading through the supports to the structure..
          b)Hand Rail Combined Simultaneous Load Capacity: 50 lbs per ft (74.4 kg per m) applied horizontally and 100 lbs per ft (148.8 kg per m) applied vertically downward at any point on top of rail.
          c)Guard Rail Concentrated Horizontal Load Capacity: 200 lbs (90.7 kg) horizontal load applied evenly over a 1 sq ft (92903 sq m) area at any point in the system.
          2)Stair Treads, Stringers, and Landings:

          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION AND PREPARATION
 
          A.Prepare substrates using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving best result for the substrates under project conditions.
 
          B.Do not proceed with installation until substrates have been prepared using the methods recommended by the manufacturer and deviations from manufacturer's recommended tolerances are corrected. Commencement of installation constitutes acceptance of conditions.
 
          C.If preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect in writing of deviations from manufacturer's recommended installation tolerances and conditions.
 
          3.2INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, approved submittals and in proper relationship with adjacent construction.
 
          3.3FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
 
          A.Field Inspection: Coordinate field inspection in accordance with appropriate sections in Division 01.
 
          3.4CLEANING AND PROTECTION
