Liquid Granite is designed to be used on showroom floors, restaurant floors, garage floors, recreation rooms, washrooms and kitchens. Life Deck Ceramic coated Colored Quartz is embedded into the epoxy clear coat forming a thick, chemical resistant, floor for high traffic areas. The quartz floor system is extremely resistant to heavy objects. Top with Life Deck epoxy LD-2009 Polyurea to make the coat a UV resistant floor sealer. The Colored Quartz Floor System is designed to be used on showroom floors, restaurant floors, garage floors, recreation rooms, washrooms and kitchens. It is a decorative, durable and chemical resistant coating which makes it perfect for residential, commercial and industrial applications. It is an epoxy floor coating system with ceramic coated colored quartz spread onto a clear base coat and sealed with a clear coat. Delete if not required.

High Solids water based epoxy coatings. Longer pot life, water clean up, water thinnable, & chemical resistant. Forms a long lasting coating for use on garages, restaurants, architectural designs, commercial and industrial applications. Life Deck Specialty Coatings manufactures 3 different water based epoxies: Life Deck 14 Series, Life Deck 25 Series, and Life Deck 25-96 Series. The 14 Series has a 4:1 mix ratio. It's technology is a blend of water based material and 100% solids. It has a very high gloss and 100% solids application "feel" to it. The 14 Series can create a high build and is excellent for full broadcast chip systems. The 25 Series has a 2:1 mix ratio. It's technology is based completely on water based raw materials. The 25 Series has a pot life up to 4 hours and can be used as a primer. The 25 Series comes in stock colors and a tinting base system for a full range of colors in the Life Deck coloring system. The 25-96 Epoxy System is similar to the normal Life Deck 25 Series Epoxy System but is a 3:1 system. Delete if not required.
 
          2.5WATER BASED EPOXIES
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The 14 Series exhibits 100% solids epoxy type characteristics with it's high build and ultra high gloss finish. It has a good working pot life and is excellent for garages, industrial shops, and warehouses. Delete if not required.

The LD3770 can withstand a constant immersion of 70% Sulfuric Acid for 90+ days before failure and 50% Sodium Hydroxide immersion for 30 days. It is available pigmented or as a clear coat.           2.8CLEAR SEALERS
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** 2003 CHEMICAL RESISTANT URETHANE (CRU) The 2003 CRU is an industrial grade 2 component urethane designed for interior and exterior use where heavy chemical resistance is needed. It is applicable in airplane hangars, chemical plants, manufacturing plants, and anywhere high chemical resistance and abrasion is needed. It can be top coated over any of our epoxy systems and most Life Deck concrete resurfacing systems. It is available in most stock colors, clear gloss, and a clear satin finish.
2009 Polyurea The 2009 is an industrial grade 2 component polyurea designed for interior and exterior use where heavy chemical resistance and abrasion is needed. It's fast dry time allows for a 2 coat application in one day and can be used over any of our Life Deck epoxies and epoxy systems. Delete if not required.

          2.10CRACK AND PATCHING REPAIR
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Life Deck 7200P Series is designed to be used on concrete, metal, wood, masonry or where a tough yet flexible epoxy paste is required. Uses include patching surface cracks on concrete floors prior to application of a floor coating or as a general purpose patch on concrete, block or wood to fill small voids before coating with other products. Delete if not required.
 
          A.Patch Repair: Life Deck 7200P Series:
          1.Type: 2 component, heavy viscosity, 100% solids, flexible epoxy patching compound.
          2.Physical properties:
          a.Gel Time (100g mass/minute): 35.

          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
 
          B.Surface must be structurally sound, dry and free of oil, grease, curing agents, dirt, dust or any other foreign material that may prevent proper adhesion.
 
          C.Test the concrete slab for efflorescence, high levels of alkalinity, and/or high levels of moisture present (greater than 4.5 lbs) in the slab.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Failing to adhere to these strict guidelines can result in product delamination, discoloration, blistering, or all together failure of the coating system. Testing is the responsibility of the applicator. Life Paint bears no responsibility for failures due to any of the conditions.
          1.Calcium chloride tests shall be conducted to determine if the concrete is sufficiently dry for an epoxy flooring installation in accordance with the latest edition of ASTM F 1869, Standard Test Method for Measuring Vapor Emission Rate of Concrete Subfloor Using Anhydrous Calcium Chloride.
          2.If moisture is greater than 4.5 lbs. apply LD12 Vapor Seal.
 
          D.The concrete shall be at least 2500 psi and feel like 30-grit sandpaper. The concrete shall be porous and be able to absorb water.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER **Delete if existing concrete.
 
          E.A minimum of 28 days cured is required on all freshly poured concrete slabs
 
          F.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          C.Prepare the surface by sanding, grinding, water blasting, sand blasting or shot blasting. Clean surface entirely with TSP and rinse completely with water several times. Remove mildew or algae using 50/50 blend of household bleach and water, rinse thoroughly.
 
          D.Cracks shall be filled with LD7200 Epoxy Paste according to the manufacturer's instructions.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Broadcast chip flooring system only. Delete if not required.
          1.Expansion joints shall be honored and filled with 7100 Epoxy Joint Filler or equivalent.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Epoxy quartz flooring system only. Delete if not required.
          2.Expansion joints shall be honored and filled with LD7200 Epoxy Paste or Gel.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and approved submittals.
 
          3.4PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
 
          B.Prohibit light traffic on the finished floor for 48 hours after installation. Avoid heavy traffic and abrasion, and chemical exposure for 5 days.
 
          C.Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
