          1.4SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
 
          A.The work shall include preparation of the substrate and the furnishing and application of a complete resinous flooring system. The Work is to be done according to drawings, specifications, and manufacturer's preparation and application instructions. Colors and textures to be determined by owner.
 
          1.5SUBMITTALS
 
          A.Submit under provisions of Section 01 30 00.
 
          B.Product Data:
          1.Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used.
          2.Preparation instructions and recommendations.
          3.Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
          4.Typical installation methods.

          C.Verification Samples: A minimum 3 x 3 inch (76 x 76 mm) representative sample of the expected finish including color, texture and thickness.
 
          1.6QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: At least 10 years experience in the manufacture and support of materials as specified in this section.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications: Company specializing in performing Work of this section with minimum three years documented experience with projects of similar scope and complexity.
 
          C.Source Limitations: Provide each type of product from a single manufacturing source to ensure uniformity.
 
          1.7PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCE
 
          A.Convene a conference approximately two weeks before scheduled commencement of the Work. Attendees shall include Architect, Contractor and trades involved. Agenda shall include schedule, responsibilities, critical path items and approvals.
 
          1.8DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations.
 
          B.The Applicator will be provided with a storage area for all components.
          1.Storage Area: Dry, out of direct sunlight and in accordance with Manufacturer's recommendations and relevant health and safety regulations
          a.Temperature Range: 60 to 90 degrees F (15 to 32 degrees C).
 
          C.Copies of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all components shall be kept on site for review by the Engineer or other personnel.
 
          1.9PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Adhere to environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.
 
          B.The Applicator shall ensure that adequate ventilation is available for the work area.
 
          C.The Applicator shall be supplied with adequate lighting equal to the final lighting level during the preparation and installation of the system.
 
          1.10WARRANTY
 
          A.Manufacturer's standard limited warranty unless indicated otherwise.

          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.With Applicator present, examine substrate areas and conditions for compliance with requirements for maximum moisture-tolerant products as may be required, surface preparation requirements, and other conditions affecting the expected durability of the new resinous floor.
          1.Maximum MVP is 16 lbs when specifying WC-1080 primer.
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect in writing of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.New and Existing Concrete Surfaces: Must be free of oil, grease, curing compounds, loose particles, moss, algae growth, laitance, friable matter, dirt, and bituminous products.
 
          B.Moisture Testing: Perform tests recommended by manufacturer.
          1.If Moisture Testing Results Exceed Manufacturer's Recommendations for the System:
          a.A moisture mitigation system must be installed prior to the resinous flooring installation.
          b.Slab-on grade substrates without a vapor barrier may also require a moisture mitigation system.
