          C.Selection Samples: For each finish product specified. Submit samples for initial selection purposes in form of manufacturer's two color charts showing full range of colors available including white and off-white colors, and two 2-1/2 x 4 inch (63 x 102 mm) physical sample of the product specified.
 
          D.Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square representing actual product, color, Texture and patterns.
 
          E.Shop Drawings: Include details of materials, construction and finish. Include relationship with adjacent construction.

          1.5QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing products specified in this section with ISO certification and a minimum ten years documented experience.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications: Engage an experienced installer or applicator who has specialized in installing resinous flooring types similar to that required for this Project The polymeric resinous flooring installation contractor shall have a minimum five year experience in the installation of similar materials. Installer shall employ or Engauge a SSPC CCI (Concrete Coatings Inspector) certified inspector to perform inspections on the project. The installing contractor shall also be acceptable to materials manufacturer.
 
          C.Source Limitations: Provide each type of product from a single manufacturing source to ensure uniformity.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include mock-up if the project size or quality warrant the expense. The following is one example of how a mock-up on might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project. Delete if not required.
 
          D.Mock-Up: Construct a mock-up with actual materials in sufficient time for Architect's review and to not delay construction progress. Locate mock-up as acceptable to Architect and provide temporary foundations and support.
          1.Intent of mock-up is to demonstrate quality of workmanship and visual appearance.
          2.If mock-up is not acceptable, rebuild mock-up until satisfactory results are achieved.
          3.Retain mock-up during construction as a standard for comparison with completed work.
          4.Do not alter or remove mock-up until work is completed or removal is authorized.
 
          1.6PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCE
 
          A.Pre-installation Meetings: Schedule, and conduct pre-installation meeting at Project Site, in order to coordinate work of this Section, with work of related Subcontractors.
          1.Ensure attendance of Subcontractor performing work of this Section and representatives of manufacturers and fabricators involved in, or affected by, installation and coordination with other materials and installations that have preceded or will follow. Advise Consultant and Owner in advance of scheduled meeting dates.
          2.Agenda: Review progress of other construction activities and preparations for the particular activity under consideration.
          3.Record significant discussions, agreements, and disagreements, including required corrective measures and actions.
          4.Reporting: Distribute minutes of the meeting to each party present and to other parties requiring information.
 
          1.7DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Deliver materials in original packages and containers with unbroken seals and bearing manufacturer's labels with date of manufacture and production lot number. Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations.
 
          B.Protect from damage due to weather, excessive temperature, and construction operations.
 
          C.When practical stage materials in the area of the work 48 hours prior to the beginning of the work.
 
          1.8PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, surface temperature, material temperature and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer during installation and cure. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.
 
          B.Restrict access to the area of the work from other then the installing contractor and job site supervision during preparation, installation and cure period.
 
          C.Lighting: Permanent lighting shall be in place prior to flooring installation.
 
          1.9WARRANTY
 
          A.Manufacturer's Warranty: Provide manufacturer's standard limited warranty for the specified term.

          A.Troweled Epoxy Resin Composition Flooring:
          1.Basis of Design: Dex-O-Tex Cheminert CFS as manufactured by Crossfield Products Corp.
          2.Physical Properties:
          a.Compressive Strength (ASTM C579): 11,000 psi (75.8 MPa).
          b.Tensile Strength (ASTM C307): 2084 psi (14.37 MPa).
          c.Flexural Modulus of Elasticity (ASTM C580): 4300 psi (29.6 MPa).
          d.Water Absorption (MIL-PRF-3134): Less than 1 percent.
          e.Surface Hardness (ASTM D2240) 85 Durometer "D".
          f.Abrasion Resistance (ASTM D4060): 0.04 gr.
          g.Impact Resistance (MIL-PRF-3134, Paragraph 4.7.3): 0.024 inch (0.61 mm) maximum, no chipping, cracking, or loss of adhesion.
          h.Impact Resistance (Gardner Impact Tester): No chipping, cracking, or delamination and not more than 0.014 inch (0.36 mm) indentation.
          i.Adhesion (ACI 503.1): 400 psi (2.76 MPa), 100 percent failure in concrete.

          3.1EXAMINATION
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The requirement for inspections performed by a certified SSPC CCI (Certified Coatings Inspector) can be waived if desired. It is usually not necessary for small areas or projects, or non-crucial areas. Delete if not required.
 
          A.Do not begin the preparation and installation until substrates have been properly constructed andinspected in accordance with ACI 311.4R-05 Guide for Concrete Inspection by a certified SSPC CCI inspector. If damage or defects are discovered, repair in accordance with ACI 546.R-04
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another contractor, perform an inspected in accordance with ACI 311.4R-05 Guide for Concrete Inspection by a certified SSPC CCI inspector. If the MVER (Moisture Vapor Emission Rate Rate) or the RH (Relative humidity) exceeds the manufactures recommend level for the specified product. Apply appropriate VaporControl Primer as per manufacturer's recommendations and application specification before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to commencement of the preparation and installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          C.Concrete Surfaces: Shot-blast, or Diamond grind in accordance with SSPC SP-13/NACE 6. Remove sufficient material to provide a sound surface free of laitance, glaze, efflorescence, and any bond-inhibiting curing compounds or form release agents. Remove grease, oil, and other penetrating contaminates. Repair damaged and deteriorated concrete to acceptable condition in accordance with ACI 546.R-04. produce a surface profile equal to ICRI 310.25 CPS 2, CPS 3, or CPS 4(Concrete Surface Profile). Leave surface free of dust, dirt, laitance, and efflorescence.
 
          D.Verify proper surface profile by comparison to ICRI 310.25 CSP coupons. Perform a water break test and tape dust cleanliness test in accordance with ISO 8502-3 to determine surface is acceptable to proceed with installation.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Apply components of resinous flooring system according to manufacturer's written instructions to produce a uniform, monolithic wearing surface of thickness indicated.
          1.Coordinate application of components to provide optimum adhesion of resinous flooring system to substrate, and optimum intercoat adhesion.
          2.Cure resinous flooring components according to manufacturer's written instructions. Prevent contamination during application and curing processes.
