          B.National Fire Protection Association (NFPA):

          B.Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
          1.Preparation instructions and recommendations.
          2.Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
          3.Installation methods.

          C.LEED Submittals: Product data showing recycled content.
          D.Shop Drawings: Subcontractor shall submit shop drawings in detail of all work in scale to indicate size, location and attachment methods required for the installation of the required work.

          E.Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square representing actual product, color, and patterns.
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum 5 year experience manufacturing similar products.
          B.Installer Qualifications: Minimum 2 year experience installing projects of similar size and complexity.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
          C.Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
          1.Finish areas designated by Architect.
          2.Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship is approved by Architect.
          3.Rebuild mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
          A.Delivery: Deliver material in the manufacturer's original, unopened, undamaged containers with identification labels intact.
          B.Storage and Protection: Store materials protected from exposure to harmful environmental conditions and at temperature and humidity conditions recommended by the manufacturer.
          C.Handling: Handle materials to avoid damage.
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

          1.8EXTRA MATERIALS

          2.Class A Fire Rating (ASTM E84): Class 1, 0 Flame, 0 Smoke.
          3.Does not support the growth of mold or mildew.
          4.Outdoor weather and UV resistant.
          5.Recycled Content: Up to 90% recycled material. Also 100% recyclable.
          6.Thermal Performance (ASTM C518): R-value of 4.2 per inch.
          7.Standards Compliance:
          a.ASTM C 665: Non-Corrosive Type I.
          b.ASTM C 612: 1A, 1B, II, and III.
          c.ASTM E 136: Rated non-combustible per NFPA Standard 220.
          d.ASTM C 1104: Absorption less than 1 percent by volume.

          A.Site Verification of Conditions:
          1.Verify that substrate conditions, for substrates previously installed under other sections, are acceptable for product installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
          2.Do not proceed with installation until unacceptable conditions are corrected.
          A.Manufacturer's Instructions:
          1.Comply with the instructions and recommendations of the acoustical material manufacturer; including product technical bulletins, product catalog, installation instructions, and product carton instructions for installation.
          2.Install materials in accordance with governing regulations, fire resistance rating requirements and industry standards applicable to work.
          B.Schedule installation of sound control system as late as possible in the construction cycle.
          C.Do not begin underlayment and sound control system installation until the building is enclosed, including roof, windows, doors and other fenestration.
          A.Clean exposed surfaces to comply with manufacturer's instructions for cleaning.
          B.Remove and replace materials, which cannot be successfully repaired.
          C.Remove surplus materials, rubbish, tools, and equipment.
          A.Protect installed work from damage due to subsequent construction activity, including temperature and humidity limitations and dust control, so that the work will be without damage and deterioration at the time of acceptance by the Owner.
