Handling: Handle materials to avoid damage.

PROJECT CONDITIONS
A.
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

PART 3 EXECUTION
 
3.1
EXAMINATION
A.
Site Verification of Conditions:
1.
Verify that substrate conditions, for substrates previously installed under other sections, are acceptable for product installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
2.
Do not proceed with installation until unacceptable conditions are corrected.
3.2
INSTALLATION
A.
Manufacturer's Instructions:
1.
Comply with the instructions and recommendations of the acoustical material manufacturer; including product technical bulletins, product catalog, installation instructions, and product carton instructions for installation.
2.
Install materials in accordance with governing regulations, fire resistance rating requirements and industry standards applicable to work.
B.
Schedule installation of sound control system as late as possible in the construction cycle.
C.
Do not begin underlayment and sound control system installation until the building is enclosed, including roof, windows, doors and other fenestration.
3.3
CLEANING
A.
Clean exposed surfaces to comply with manufacturer's instructions for cleaning.
B.
Remove and replace materials, which cannot be successfully repaired.
C.
Remove surplus materials, rubbish, tools, and equipment.
3.4
PROTECTION
A.
Protect installed work from damage due to subsequent construction activity, including temperature and humidity limitations and dust control, so that the work will be without damage and deterioration at the time of acceptance by the Owner.
