DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A.
Deliver and store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging bearing the brand name and manufacturer's identification until ready for installation.
B.
Handling: Handle materials to avoid damage.
1.8
PROJECT CONDITIONS
A.
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.
1.9
SEQUENCING
A.
Ensure that products of this section are supplied to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.
1.10
WARRANTY

A.
General Performance: Comply with performance requirements specified, as determined by testing of glass partition systems representing those indicated for this Project without failure due to defective manufacture, fabrication, installation, or other defects in construction.

B.
Delegated Design: Engage a qualified professional engineer, as defined in Section 01 40 00 - Quality Requirements "Quality Requirements," to design all-glass entrances and storefronts.

Deflection of Framing Members:
 
** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Based on Project conditions, more stringent deflection criteria than specified in "Deflection Normal to Wall Plane" and "Deflection Parallel to Glazing Plane" subparagraphs below may be required. First option in "Deflection Normal to Wall Plane" Subparagraph is based on IBC requirements for framing members supporting glass. Second option is based on AAMA TIR-A11 recommendations.
 
1.
Deflection Normal to Wall Plane: Limited to edge of glass in a direction perpendicular to glass plane not exceeding 1/175 of the glass edge length for each individual glazing lite or an amount that restricts edge deflection of individual glazing lites to 3/4 inch (19.1 mm), whichever is less.
2.
Deflection Normal to Wall Plane: Limited to 1/175 of clear span for spans of up to 13 feet 6 inches (4.1 m) and to 1/240 of clear span plus 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) for spans greater than 13 feet 6 inches (4.1 m) or an amount that restricts edge deflection of individual glazing lites to 3/4 inch (19.1 mm), whichever is less.

3.1
EXAMINATION
A.
Examine areas, with Installer present, for compliance with requirements for installation tolerances and other conditions affecting performance of the Work.

Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
3.2
ERECTION TOLERANCES
A.
Erection Tolerances: Install glass partition systems to comply with the following maximum tolerances:

Broken, cracked, chipped, deformed, or unmatched panels are not acceptable.
D.
Broken, cracked, deformed, or unmatched gasketing or gasketing with gaps at butted ends is not acceptable.
E.
Adjust operable glass-panel partitions, hardware, and other moving parts to function smoothly, and lubricate as recommended by manufacturer.
F.
Adjust doors to operate smoothly and easily, without binding or warping.
G.
Verify that safety devices are properly functioning.

H.
Maintenance Service: Beginning at Substantial Completion provide maintenance service by manufacturer's authorized service representative. Parts and supplies shall be manufacturer's authorized replacement parts and supplies.
