          1.4DEFINITIONS
 
          A.HD (High-definition) - refers to video having resolution substantially higher than traditional television systems. HD has one or two million pixels per frame.
 
          B.CIF (Common Intermediate Format) - refers to a standard video format, which is categorized based on the resolution.
 
          1.5SUBMITTALS
 
          A.General: Submittals shall be made in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract and Submittal Procedure Section 01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements.
 
          B.Manufacturer's Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets indicating systems and components proposed for use, including instruction manuals.
 
          C.Shop Drawings: Complete shop drawings including connection diagrams for interfacing equipment, list of connected equipment, and locations for major equipment components.
 
          D.Record Drawings: During construction maintain record drawings indicating location of equipment and wiring. Submit an electronic version of record drawings not later than Substantial Completion of the project.
 
          E.Operation and Maintenance Data: Manufacturer's operation and maintenance data, customized to the system installed. Include system and operator manuals.
 
          F.Field Tests: Results of field testing of every device including date, testing personnel, retesting date (if applicable), and confirmation that every device passed field testing.
 
          G.Maintenance Service Agreement: Sample copy of the manufacturer's maintenance service agreement, including cost and services for a one year period for Owner's review. Maintenance includes, but not limited to, labor and materials to repair system, tests and adjustments, and regular inspections.
 
          H.Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square representing actual product, color, and patterns.
 
          1.6QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer: Minimum ten years experience in manufacturing and maintaining video management systems. Manufacturer shall provide toll-free technical assistance and support available 24/7.
          1.Customer service, pre-sales applications assistance, after-sales technical assistance, access to online technical support, and online training using Web conferencing.
          2.Manufacturer shall provide 24/7 technical assistance and support by means of a toll-free telephone number at no extra charge.
 
          B.Manufacturing Location: Provide equipment assembled in the United States.
 
          C.Installer: Minimum two years experience installing similar systems, and acceptable to the manufacturer of the video management system.

          D.Power Requirements: Components shall have the following electrical specifications: 100-240 V AC (50 Hz/60 Hz) or as specified for individual products within part 2 of the specification.
 
          E.Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.

          1.7PRE-INSTALLATION MEETINGS
 
          A.Convene minimum two weeks prior to starting work of this section.
 
          1.8DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Deliver and store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging bearing the brand name and manufacturer's identification until ready for installation.
 
          B.Handling: Handle materials to avoid damage.
 
          1.9PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

          A.The Video Management System (VMS): Controls multiple sources of video surveillance subsystems in facility to collect, manage and present video in a clear and concise manner. Intelligently determines capabilities of each subsystem across single or multiple sites, allowing video management of any compatible analog or digital video device through a unified configuration platform and viewer.
 
          B.Product: Honeywell MAXPRO VMS as manufactured by Honeywell Commercial Security.
 
          C.System Components:
          1.VMS server, controller containing a database of all network-connected cameras, integrated components and their configurations.
          2.Workstations that render video and act as a main user/machine interface.
 
          D.Operational Requirements of VMS:
          1.A graphical user interface (GUI) to monitor, control and administer video surveillance equipment from multiple systems and platforms.
          2.Scalable enterprise-class media management system enabling simultaneous live monitoring from multiple stations configurable for storage on and off site.
          3.Configure software to store and view images captured by one camera or many cameras. Monitor connections across unlimited number of servers.
          4.VMS Application Capabilities:

          3)Each Viewer: May be associated to a monitor or workstation and assigned a unique output number that .may be selected from the viewer device tree, UltraKey controller, or system macro.
          4)Save current salvo as a View and allow user to select saved views by drag/drop into viewer, using UltraKey controller, or system macro.
          5)Select camera or salvo by using mouse to drag it onto main screen. Undo/redo option for camera drag/drop and salvo selection from viewer and UltraKey controller.
          6)Switch an analog camera to analog or digital monitor so system will recognize to switch to analog matrix switch or to pull video from an encoder.

          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
 
          B.Examine site conditions prior to installation. Notify Architect and Owner in writing if unsuitable conditions are encountered. Do not start installation until site conditions are acceptable.
 
          C.If preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect in writing of deviations from manufacturer's recommended installation tolerances and conditions.
 
          3.2INSTALLATION
 
          A.All components of the video management system shall be thoroughly tested before shipping to the project location.
 
          B.Video management system shall be installed, programmed and tested in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions.
          1.Coordinate interfaces with Owner's representative where appropriate.
          2.Provide backboxes, racks, connectors, supports, conduit, cable, and wire for a complete and reliable installation. Obtain Owner's approval for exact location of all boxes, conduit, and wiring runs prior to installation.
          3.Install conduit, cable, and wire parallel and square with building lines, including raised floors areas. Do not exceed forty percent (40 percent) fill in conduits. Gather wires and tie to create an orderly installation.
          4.Coordinate with other trades to provide proper sequencing of installation.
 
          3.3FIELD COMMISSIONING AND CERTIFICATION
 
          A.Field Commissioning: Test system as recommended by manufacturer.
          1.Conduct inspection and testing of equipment, including verification of operation with connected equipment.
          2.Test devices. Demonstrate operational features for Owner's representative and authorities having jurisdiction, as applicable.
          3.Correct deficiencies until satisfactory results are obtained.
          4.Submit written copies of test results.
 
          3.4TRAINING
 
          A.Conduct on-site system administrator and security/surveillance operator training, with number and length of sessions as recommended by manufacturer. Include administration, provisioning, configuration, operation, and diagnostics.
 
          3.5PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
