          1.Proof of attending HySecurity Technical Training in the past three years, or other significant manufacturer endorsement of technical aptitude, if required, during the submittal process.
 
          1.6DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations.
 
          B.Protect from damage due to weather, excessive temperature, and construction operations.
 
          C.Store products upright in the original shipping containers, covered, ventilated and protected from all weather conditions.
 
          1.7WARRANTY
 
          A.Provide manufacturer's standard warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
          1.Warranty Period: Five years or 500,000 gate cycles, whichever occurs first, from date of installation.
          2.Defective materials shall be replaced at manufacturer's discretion with new or reconditioned materials furnished by the manufacturer, at no cost to the owner.
          3.Freight, labor and other incidental costs are not covered under the factory warranty but may be covered by a separate service agreement between installing company and the owner.

          2.3FACTORY TESTING
 
          A.Assemble and test, each gate operator at factory, assuring smooth operation, sequencing and electrical connection integrity.
          1.Inspect, test, and verify hydraulics are leak free.
          2.Individually log and record testing data for operators by serial number.
 
          B.Mechanical Connections: Check for tightness and alignment.
 
          C.Welds: Check for completeness and continuity.
 
          D.Finishes: Inspect for completeness. Touch up imperfections prior to shipment.
 
          E.Hydraulic Hoses and Electrical Wiring: Inspect and assure chafing cannot occur during shipping or operation.
 
          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly constructed and prepared.
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect in writing of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          C.Verification of Barrier Siting and Safety Precautions:
          1.Ensure vehicles and pedestrians are aware of the barrier and its operation.
          2.Installer will provide proper illumination and clearly worded signage (with appropriate graphics) warning of barrier's presence and its hazards.
          3.Manufacturer recommends an architect and/or traffic and/or safety engineer be consulted before installing active vehicle barrier and installation configuration be employed that physically limits approach speeds to 20 mph ().
          4.Owner agrees they are responsible for selecting the barrier location and configuration of approaches and warnings.
          5.Manufacturer will offer reasonable assistance in integrating the barrier with external and existing systems, but does not provide traffic or safety engineering services.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Locate concrete footings forms in accordance with approved shop drawings and in compliance with local building codes.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install barrier in accordance with the safety regulations and the manufacturer's product literature and installation instructions, current at the time of installation. Coordinate locations of operators with contract drawings; other trades and shop drawings.
 
          B.Installer shall ensure that the electrical service to the barrier is at least 20 A. Electrical wiring to conform to NEC and manufacturer's installation instructions. StrongArm M30 is 3000 W.
 
          3.4FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
 
          A.Test operator through ten full open and close cycles and adjust for operation without binding, scraping or uneven motion. Test limit switches for proper open and close limit positions.
 
          B.Fully tighten all anchor bolts in the finished installation.
 
          C.Owner, or owner's representative, to complete "check list" with installing contractor prior to final acceptance of the installation and submit completed warranty documentation to manufacturer.
 
          3.5CLEANING AND PROTECTION
 
          A.Clean products in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.
 
          B.Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
 
          3.6CONTINUED SERVICE AND DOCUMENTATION
 
          A.Train owner's personnel on how to safely shut off electrical power, release and manually operate the gate.
          1.Demonstrate general maintenance of gate operator and accessories and provide one copy of "Programming and Operations Manual" for the owner's use.
          2.Manuals will identify parts of equipment for future procurement.
          3.Direct maintenance personnel to the technical support sections on manufacturer's website.
