GR8 Holdings LLC manufactures and markets access controls and products, including TireShark One-Way Traffic Spikes, TireShark™ Motorized Traffic Spikes, TireShark™ steel Speed Bumps, commercial barrier gate operators, and related accessories. All TireShark™ traffic spike systems have easily replaceable spike bearings, preventing the need to replace the entire system after a few months of use. Galvanized (zinc) products can damage sensitive waterways and wildlife, prompting TireShark™ Traffic Spike products to feature zinc-free polyester powder coating, superior in durability and eco-sensitivity as compared to old-fashioned galvanized (zinc) coatings. All TireShark™ traffic spike products are the "world's only" to feature spike slots that are shaped like arrows, completely eliminating the chance that installation crews install the units in the wrong direction (a common problem). The arrows indicate the safe direction of traffic movement. TireShark™ traffic spikes are formed using computerized extreme-psi forming technology. No welding is done to form the deck ramps, preventing crystallization and brittleness.
All traffic spike systems require speed bumps to be located approximately 6 ft (1829 mm) before and 6 ft (1829 mm) after the location of the traffic spike system (a maximum speed of crossing vehicles must not be allowed to exceed 5 mph (8 km per hr).

          2.2IN GROUND ONE-WAY FLUSH MOUNTED TRAFFIC SPIKES
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Due to crown-curvature in roadways, 6 ft (1829 mm) single-product lengths are not advisable. Use multiple 3 ft (914 mm) sections to follow road surface more accurately. Due to the tendency of drivers to want to speed across in-ground traffic spike systems, we strongly recommend using our Ultra-Low-Height surface mounted system instead (TireShark™ Model 2500). Surface mounted systems are more respected by drivers since they are interpreted as a speed bump.
 
          A.Basis of Design: TireShark Model 7500 as manufactured by GR8 Holdings LLC. Modular, easily maintained, in-ground traffic spike section. Restricts wrong-way traffic via displayed possibility of tire damage.

          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly constructed and prepared.

          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, approved submittals and in proper relationship with adjacent construction. Test for proper operation and adjust until satisfactory results are obtained.
