Submit under provisions of Section 01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements. B. Samples: Two complete sets of color chips representing manufacturer's full range of available colors and patterns. C. Statement of Applicator Qualifications. D. Warranty: 1. Refer to Section 01 78 00 Project Closeout. 2. Complete forms with Owner's name and register with manufacturer. 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Applicator Qualifications: Company specializing in performing Work of this section with minimum three years experience with projects of similar scope and complexity. 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Protect film from damage during handling and transportation. B. Store film protected from exposure to harmful weather conditions and at temperature conditions recommended by manufacturer. C. Avoid contact with materials that might cause staining, scratching, or other surface damage. 1.7 WARRANTY A. Manufacturer's standard 20 year warranty for color retention. Delete one of the following two paragraphs. A. General: Provide plastic components without discolorations, scratches, damage, or other imperfections exposed to view on finished units. 1. Vinyl Windows: Refer to Section 08 53 0. B. General: Provide wood components without discolorations, scratches, damage, or other imperfections exposed to view on finished units. 1. Wood Windows: Refer to Section 08 52 0. 2.3 SHOP-APPLIED, MULTILAYER, HIGH-PERFORMANCE DECORATIVE FILM A. Comply with AAMA 307. B. Thickness: 0.0067 inch (0.17 mm) to 0.0071 inch (0.18 mm). C. Layers: 1. Manufacturer's standard primer. 2. Pigmented, heat-resistant polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) film. 3. Manufacturer's standard ink layer. 4. Transparent polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) film. 5. Transparent polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) film. D. Finish: ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete one of the following two paragraphs. 1. Color: As indicated on drawings. 2. Color: As selected by Architect from manufacturers standard range of color selections. 3. Pattern: Woodgrain. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Verify substrate condition. Determine conditions are acceptable for film application in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. B. If substrate preparation is responsibility of another party, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding. C. Notify Architect in writing of conditions detrimental to proper and timely completion of work. Do not proceed without correcting unsatisfactory conditions. 3.2 PREPARATION A. Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare substrates in accordance with film manufacturer's instructions. 3.3 APPLICATION A. Apply film coating in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions on manufacturer approved lamination machine. B. Allow to cure prior to shipping. 3.4 PROTECTION A. Protect installed film from damage by subsequent shipping, installation, and construction operations. END OF SECTION
