Since our company was founded in 1965, Universal Plastics has been a leader in the thermoforming industry. Our founder, James Peters, Sr. was one of the original pioneers that developed commercial applications for thermoforming. Now managed by the second generation of the Peters family, we have continued to grow and seek out new applications in our marketplace. Our plant, located in Massachusetts, has over 65,000 square feet, and we have over 80 employees. As we have grown, we have refined and further developed the thermoforming process to allow the manufacture of large and complex products that could never have been conceived in the previous generation. Today's thermoformed products can match the quality and finish of injection molding, in high performance plastics, and in sizes that dwarf the capabilities of most molders.

We are also proud to offer a manufacturing service which is equally state of the art. As a family run business, we uphold a strong commitment to our customers. We upgrade our equipment and technology, and support continued training for our employees at every opportunity to insure we can offer innovative products of high value that work for their intended use. For instance,

* Our CAD engineers have over 40 years of design and prototype design experience in numerous industries
* Knowledge of the quality and design requirements of the aerospace, medical, and electronics industries.
* Tooling engineers with over 100 collective years of thermoforming experience
* Strong working partnerships with our material suppliers and their application development and testing laboratories.
