Skyfold Prisma™

Introducing the Skyfold Prisma experience

Flexible space is the future of architecture. Offering a space that can be adaptive rather than static is simply a priority in today's world.

As the acoustic leader in vertically retractable walls, we pride ourselves on constantly aiming to improve and enthusiastically embrace innovation; therefore, we are extremely excited to introduce our newest addition to the Skyfold family, Prisma™.

Prisma™is an elegant glass flexible space solution with the added luxury of transparency, clean lines, and a lightweight structure - the perfect choice for bright, sophisticated, and welcoming spaces.

By combining precision engineering and outstanding design, the Prisma™ wall takes its design possibilities far beyond the conventional in any space. Prisma™ has a telescopic, straight-down descent, making it the ideal flex space solution for areas with obstructions that limit the usage of vertically folding partition walls. With Prisma's narrow path of travel, there is no need to overhaul furniture placement in the space to operate the partition wall.

Skyfold Prisma™ wall is so easy to operate - with the touch of a button, you can quickly reconfigure any space in minutes. Increasing the aesthetic appeal of any room, Prisma™ also allows daylight to reach into spaces that otherwise would be dark and isolated. Increasing wellness, happiness, productivity, and employee morale creates nothing less than an environment to recharge creativity and stimulate imagination.

Skyfold Prisma™ is not only an elegant design feature for all these reasons - it further boasts an STC of 52 (Rw 52). With finish options such as frosted glass, creating rooms that feel airy and connected that are still quiet and private enough for meetings, collaboration, classes, and autonomous work is perhaps its best feature of all.

Sustainability

Skyfold Inc. is committed to promoting better and more sustainable buildings with the highest indoor environmental quality. Our commitment extends not only to the products we make, but also to our operations and manufacturing techniques used in our facilities. Since 2015, we have been a proud member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and have designed products and solutions that may contribute to the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program credits in six categories. The USGBC is committed to promoting buildings that are environmentally and socially responsible and that help to improve the quality of life for those who occupy them and the communities in which they are built.

Skyfold acoustic vertically folding operable walls are constructed using up to 97% recycled materials, thereby offering tremendous sustainable advantages and opportunities to earn LEED points in several categories. In order to continue protecting our environment, it is essential that we all do our part by using recycled materials whenever possible. As with all the products at Skyfold Inc., we will continue to push the envelope on sustainable design.

As part of our ongoing sustainability initiatives, Skyfold Inc. is also in open dialogue to partner with suppliers for materials that are safe for the environment and our employees as per dormakaba Group's Material Compliance. Since we need to examine all materials delivered and manufactured, this review will take some time. In addition, Skyfold Inc. has successfully published Health-Product Related Declaration (HPD) reports and Environmental Product Declarartions (EPDs), which are verified and listed on the SCS Global Services EPD program, putting us among the first to have EPDs in the movable wall industry.

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a summary report of a product's environmental performance based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a scientific process which examines the environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product's life, from raw material extraction, through processing, manufacture, distribution, use, repair/maintenance, to end of life (disposal and recycling). EPDs are prepared in accordance with international ISO standards and are useful to architects who need to calculate a building's environmental footprint. Skyfold EPD reports are verified by SCS Global Services, a global leader in third-party quality, environmental and sustainability verification, certification, auditing, testing, and standards development.

When conducting business activities, compliance to local and internal company rules as well as respect of human rights and environmental regulations is of key importance to all dormakaba companies. This applies to both in-house processes as well as to relationships with other external points of contact, such as customers, authorities, partners and suppliers, as evidenced in dormakaba's Supplier Code of Conduct.
