Wood and Steel Restoration
Chosen Wood Window Maintenance has been providing comprehensive window restoration services for both commercial and residential customers for years. We take on projects of various sizes, specifications, and conditions, working closely with general contractors, owner representatives, architects, building owners, and more to deliver exceptional results. Whether collaborating with a team or managing a self-contracted project, we guide every window restoration project to completion with expertise and care.
Our services cover the entire restoration process, from initial evaluation to the final installed product, focusing on the sash, frame, and all relevant components. Window restoration can vary in scope and may include a range of energy updates and finishes to meet your specific needs.
Our Process
Cataloging and Preparation:
Once a project is awarded, we begin by cataloging the window openings and their individual components, such as sashes, stops, and brickmold. Each part is carefully marked to ensure that the restored components are returned to their original openings. This step is crucial not only for historical accuracy but also for optimal fit and function. Interior spaces are sealed for protection during the process.Transportation and Restoration:
Select components are transported to our dedicated restoration shop, where they undergo a meticulous restoration process tailored to your project.Documentation and Updates:
Throughout the restoration, we document progress with detailed photos, providing you with records for reference and peace of mind.
By preserving and restoring original components, we ensure the final product retains its historical integrity and optimal performance. Our careful attention to detail ensures that restored windows maintain their unique character while functioning as effectively as possible in their original settings.

Shop Only Restoration For Sash & Millwork
Chosen Wood Window Maintenance does indeed offer full-service window restoration, but also... in an effort to offer a broader range of affordable and quality window restoration options to more customers, Chosen Wood Window Maintenance offers shop only restoration options as well.
We realize that for some projects, possibly further away, it may be most cost effective for sash and millwork restoration to be handled by a facility that specializes in quality-efficient shop restoration, and for on-site restoration to be handled by one's own workforce or by another contractor. Our process yields a quality and uniform product that conforms to the customer's specific needs.
We have a background of restoring sash and millwork on many prestigious buildings.
We do not perform piece work, but rather we restore all ‘like sash' with the same restoration steps to achieve an efficient, dependable and uniform finished product. The following pages demonstrate a general process for achieving shop only restoration on your project from Chosen.

Go Green
Environmentally conscious people are opting for restoration over replacement as a way to conserve energy, save money, eliminate waste of valuable wood resources, and reduce their carbon footprint. Window restoration proves to be an effective, environmentally friendly way to conserve resources by utilizing what has already been produced. In addition, replacement windows that contain vinyl or PVC are toxic to produce, create toxic by-products, and are not recyclable. By repairing, you rescue old windows from landfills; and once repaired, they can be maintained for the life of the building.
Chosen Wood Windows restores, rebuilds and reproduces sash, wood windows and doors. We reuse all the good wood components in the existing window. Our philosophy is to reuse what is good and replace what is necessary. If we replace the glass with insulated glass, we reuse the distorted, wavy glass on other historical projects.
Restoring wood windows is the best way to go green and save on energy costs!
● Manufacturing replacement windows produces unnecessary waste
● Large amounts of energy are consumed to extract and process raw materials, then assemble, transport and install replacement windows
● Replacement windows use non-renewable resources, such as petroleum
● Forests are being depleted in the production of wooden replacement windows
● Replacement windows may contain toxins
