Since 1969 Miami, Florida-based Plastic Components has been a leading manufacturer of plastic trims and accessories for the construction industry. We are the originators of many innovative trims and offer the most complete line of PVC accessories for EIFS in the industry.

Manufactured in the USA, our nearly 700-line items include corner beads, control joints, vents, slip joints, reveals, and more – for exterior insulated finish systems (EIFS), direct applied (DEFS), stucco, drywall and other applications.

High-impact resistant, lead-free PVC trims conform to ASTM standards D1784 and C1063 (for exterior stucco, one coat, DEFS and EIFS applications), D1784 (for exterior stucco), and D3678 and C1047 (for interior drywall).

They are listed with Intertek Testing Services/Warnock Hersey to meet or exceed strict standards set by ASTM. We are the first PVC trims manufacturer to submit its products to an independent, third-party testing organization for evaluation and certification. Our PVC accessories pass comprehensive tests to earn the right to carry the Warnock-Hersey mark, assuring you that Plastic Components' products

comply with relevant building codes, association criteria and product safety and performance standards.

We have also developed high-quality plastic products that resolve problems created by standard metal. One of these, Ultra-Lath Plus® plastic lath, delivers lower installed costs and rustproof installations unaffected by moisture, salt or chemicals.

Plus, it complies with Florida Building Code and Metro Dade County's HVHZ requirements for Impact and Cyclic performance. *When installed in 3-coat stucco system per IAPMO UEL-5046. It also meets ASTM C1063, C1764, C1780, C1787, C1788 and C1861 – and successfully completed NFPA 285 fire testing.

In recent years we have seen increased interest in regard to exterior walls. One is in moisture management; and moving moisture away from the wall –the other is continuous insulation or CI. Continuous Insulation is the result of the U.S. Department of Energy's interest in reducing energy consumption in our structures. Since 2012 there has been a continued push to move away from interior batt insulation to a continuous or unbroken layer of insulation on the exterior of buildings.

Plastic Components has provided solutions for exterior insulation with our EIFS products, also known as the original CI, since the 1970's. These products include a wide assortment of starter tracs and include the STDE, SB, CB and UDT series. We are the only manufacturer to offer these tracs in a wide assortment of thicknesses from 1/2" all the

way up to 4".

When we started receiving a lot of interest in a hard coat stucco solution for CI, also known as CI Stucco…we began developing trims to meet this latest need. The STCI series is a new starter trac that offers drainage protection for the foam – and a stop type of bead for finishing with cement-based stucco. We also launched our SBCI series. Its built-in corner bead is designed to finish a CI Stucco system around windows and doors.
