ApplePly is States' highest quality, veneer core panel, constructed from 1/16" Birch using a two-step lamination process. Because the innerplies are thin, uniform hardwood veneers, ApplePly machines beautifully. ApplePly is specified for its attractive edge, high strength and solid hardwood core. It is widely used in retail fixtures, contemporary furniture and architectural interiors, where its attractive edge is incorporated as a design element.

ArmorCore is a hybrid substrate, combining composite crossbands with veneer innerplies to produce an exceptionally flat, smooth surface. ArmorCore is preferred in applications where panels need to have the weight, structural value and screw-holding ability of veneer core with the superior flatness and higher density of MDF. ArmorCore is offered in one-step and two-step construction for maximum flexibility.

Composite core panels include particleboard and MDF of several densities. Composite cores are valued for their flat, smooth surfaces and tight tolerances, as well as their relatively low costs. MDF is available in both thin and thick versions, and its more refined particles improve its machinability. Particleboard is available in thicknesses above 7/16" and is the lowest cost substrate used in hardwood plywood.

NOVA coatings are 100% solid epoxy acrylate. They emit no volatile organic compounds in manufacture or in use. There is virtually no waste created in the flatline finishing process. UV-cured coatings are extremely durable, showing no effects from solvents or household chemicals. Overspray from other finish operations can be wiped from NOVA surfaces with acetone. NOVA panels meet LEED IEQ Credit 4.2 Low Emitting Materials. No-added-formaldehyde and FSC® Certified constructions are available.

With NOVA you can choose pre-finished options tailored to your exact specifications. Choose from clear, translucent, opaque and printed finishes. Gloss levels include satin, medium, high or custom. Precise custom color matching is also available.

NOVA SI brings together the beauty of natural, eco-friendly hardwood with the science of antimicrobial silver ions to reduce the risk of infection from E. coli, staph and other environmental pathogens.

NOVA SI is infused with inorganic silver ions, which are proven to inhibit microbes, pathogens and bacteria. The silver ions permeate the wood finish to create a self-decontaminating coating. In the presence of moisture, silver ions are released, disrupting cellular respiration and preventing the spread of bacterial contaminants. It works naturally and continuously, making it ideal for protecting patients, students, customers and families from the unseen hazards covering the surfaces we touch every day.

States NOVA LAB panels are specifically formulated for applications requiring enhanced chemical resistance. These panels provide laboratory casework manufacturers with the advantage of pre-finished hardwood in domestic and imported veneer species on a choice of substrates. No-added-formaldehyde and FSC® Certified constructions are available. NOVA LAB panels comply with the Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association’s 8.0 Cabinet Surface Finish Tests. These include the 8.1 Chemical Spot Test, 8.2 Hot Water Test and 8.3 Impact Test.

Versa panels feature hardwood face veneers and thermofused melamine backs. These panels bring together natural hardwood exteriors and durable synthetic interiors that can be easily cleaned, making them perfect for the construction of cabinets and closets.

Face veneers are available in most domestic and select import species.

Ideal Uses
Versa is used to construct case goods with natural wood veneered exteriors and melamine-impregnated, paper interiors. Melamine interiors guarantee a mar- and moisture-resistant finish as well as offering opaque colors.

Melamine Patterns
Choose from two popular melamine patterns for the back of your Versa panel: Galaxy White or Hard Rock Maple. Other colors and patterns are available by special order.

Core and Finish Options
Versa panels are available with a ¾" Particleboard core. They are also available on MDF or ArmorCore. Learn more about core options.

States panels are manufactured from the finest plywood construction in a wide range of wood veneers with matching wood edge banding.

Wood wall paneling provides a natural, beautiful and durable surface for any interior. Large format panels (4′ x 8′) provide a fast and relatively inexpensive decorating solution.

Ideal Uses

Primarily designed for residential applications, wood wall paneling is also popular in cabins and recreational vehicles, as well as in commercial buildings like offices, churches, restaurants and retail stores.

Finish Options

Wall paneling is available in natural, finished or unfinished wood veneers. Finished panels utilize our proprietary NOVA ultraviolet-cured coatings, making them as durable and resilient as they are beautiful.

Dimensions

Paneling is 48″ wide by 96″ high. In application, paneling is frequently cut to 32″ or 48″ high wainscoting.

Pattern Options

States currently offers forty individual wall paneling products. Selected panels may be flat, but most have a decorative pattern grooved or beaded into the surface.

Stain colors run the gamut from light to dark. Certain paneling products use individual veneer components between each vertical groove to achieve a more authentic “plank" effect called random matching.
