Building Products Library Division 06 - Wood, Plastics, and Composites Manufacturers

Material and product manufacturers relating to Wood, Plastics, and Composites are organized by the product or the material into CSI sections. Explore the sections below to gather product data and access downloadable content including CAD files, BIM objects, specifications and much more.

Sections

Rough Carpentry

Includes wood foundations, wood structural framing, sheathing, and wood decking using lumber, timber, and engineered wood products used in commercial and residential projects.

Finish Carpentry

Finish wood construction, like mouldings, chair rail, railings, and trim that can be purchased ready to install by a contractor, not requiring the specialized skills of architectural woodwork fabrication.

Exterior Carpentry*

Exterior work including framing, siding, soffit, fascia, windows and doors, eaves, trim, and other components of the building envelope. Exterior carpentry may also include decks, porches, and other outdoor structures.

Architectural Woodwork

Architectural woodwork is often seen in the form of decorative trim, wall paneling, doors, and furniture. It is used to enhance the aesthetics of a space and to create a sense of warmth and beauty.

Structural Plastics

Often used in the construction of bridges and buildings, as well as in industrial applications. They are also used to construct items such as pipes, tanks, and other industrial components used to enhance the look of a building or bridge.

Composite Fabrications

Fabrications include polycarbonate, polyamide, polyurethane, polyacrylates, polyacetal, polyimide, polyester, polybutylene, and polyethersulfone. Each of these plastics has its own unique properties and uses in fabrication.

Structural Composites

Structural composites combine two or more materials with significantly different physical and chemical properties to produce a material with improved performance.

Composite Fabrications

Materials composed of various plastics withwood, glass, or carbon fibers formed into a compositematerial formed tovarious profiles for a variety of purposes.
