Installer Qualifications: Company, factory authorized, specializing in performing Work of this section with minimum two years documented experience with projects of similar scope and complexity, with availability to ensure fulfillment of maintenance and callback service.
Electrical devices, service and final connections by qualified electrician.
Technical Services: Manufacturer and authorized dealer will work with Architect, Engineer and Contractor to adopt vertical lift design and structural requirements of the building, site and code requirements.
Unit will be assembled and tested in factory before shipment and meet or exceed National and Local standards.
Load ratings and safety factors must meet or exceed those specified by governing agencies and certified by an independent professional engineer licensed in the State of project's location.
Source Limitations: Provide each type of product from a single manufacturing source to ensure uniformity.

EXECUTION
EXAMINATION
Do not begin installation until the substrates have been properly constructed and prepared.
Verify hoistway shaft and machine space are the correct size and within tolerance and acceptance.
Verify required landings and openings are the correct size and within tolerance and acceptance.
Verify hoistway shaft and machine room designed maintain temperatures between 50 and 90 deg. F (10 and 32 deg. C).
When required verify machine room is provided with lighting, light switch, outlets and meets the clear space requirements of NEC, ASME A17.1, or ASME A18.1.
Verify hoistway and openings are the correct size and within tolerance and acceptance.
Verify electrical power is available, of correct characteristics, within acceptance and capable of supplying sufficient power.
Provide adequate structural wall backing and blocking for rail bracket attachment at intervals as specified by the manufacturer's Shop Drawings.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect in writing of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
PREPARATION
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions and performance of vertical lifts.
INSTALLATION
Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, approved submittals, and in proper relationship with adjacent construction.
Install in accordance with ICC-A117.1, NEC, ASME A17.1 or ASME A18.1 Guidelines, code requirements of authorities having jurisdiction and manufacturer's layout drawings.
Platform Base and Frame Installation: Pit mount or floor mount in compliance with manufacturer's written instructions.
FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
Field Inspection: Coordinate field inspection and testing in accordance with appropriate sections in Division 01.

Clean products prior to final inspection in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.
