Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
Preparation instructions and recommendations.
Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
Installation instructions.
Cleaning and maintenance instructions.
Shop Drawings: Show components required for the paver and pedestal requirements. Include plan drawings showing layout of paver areas and detail drawings showing how the various components of the system fit together. Include manufacturer's literature describing system components with detailed installation instructions.
Structural Analysis: Confirm the structural capability and adequacy of the structure to carry the dead and live load weights required, and that the density of any installation is satisfactory to resist crushing and damaging the waterproofing membrane.
Fire Resistance Ratings: Confirmation as required for exterior pedestal supported deck system by the local requirements.
Wind Uplift Ratings: Confirmation of as required for exterior air permeable pedestal supported deck systems by the local requirements.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years' experience manufacturing deck supports and tile systems.
Installer Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of proven construction experience for projects of a similar type and scale. Work must comply with the manufacturer's installation instructions and procedures for deck support work specified herein.

When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
Mock-Up: For evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.

PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCE
Convene a conference approximately two weeks before the scheduled commencement of the Work. Attendees to include Architect, Contractor and trades involved. Agenda is to include schedule, responsibilities, critical path items and approvals.
DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging with labels intact and legible until ready for installation.
Protect products during shipment, storage, and construction against damage. Store a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) off the ground in a dry location and cover with polyethylene to protect from contact with materials that would cause staining or discoloration.
Store products in an enclosed or covered area protected from the elements as site conditions allow.
PROJECT CONDITIONS
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

Basis of Design: PrimeUp Low Profile Adjustable Pedestals as manufactured by Layr Systems. Height-adjustable Support from 0.4 to 1 inch (10 to 25 millimeters). It features a tab fitted with and adjustment mechanism head. PrimeUp can be used with Layr Systems' EasyFlat slope correctors to correct slopes up to 10 percent.

ALUMINUM RAIL SYSTEM
Basis of Design: ARKIT, EasyRail Aluminum Rail System as manufactured by Layr Systems. To be used with the LevelPro Pedestal System. The rail system adds structural stability and increases the weight capacity of the LevelPro Series LPC401 to LPC414 Pedestal Systems, reducing the number of required pedestals.

EXECUTION
EXAMINATION
Examine Project conditions and completed Work and verify that the area is ready for installation of pedestal supports.
Immediately correct all deficiencies and conditions which would cause improper execution of Work specified in this Section and subsequent Work.
Proceeding with Work specified in this Section: interpreted to mean that all conditions were determined to be acceptable prior to the start of Work.
PREPARATION
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation. Ensure all surfaces are clear of dirt and debris.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
INSTALLATION
Install Layr Systems' in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations and the authorities having jurisdiction.
Use the Pocket Key or Top Key to adjust the pedestal supports for perfect levelness of raised flooring as instructed by the manufacturer.
PROTECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Comply with the general requirements specified in the following specifications.
