Shop Drawings:
Provide shop drawings for fabrication and installation of compartment assemblies that are not fully described by architectural drawings.
Provide template layouts and installation instructions for anchorage devices built into other work.
Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square representing actual product, color, and patterns.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Manufacturer Qualifications: A company regularly engaged in manufacture of products specified in this section, and whose products have been in satisfactory use under similar service conditions for not less than 5 years.
** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Fire Resistance performance as listed below is standard for Powder Shield, Dur-A-Tex and Stainless Steel. Delete for other products.
Performance Requirements:
Fire Resistance: Partition materials shall comply with the following requirements, when tested in accordance with the ASTM E 84: Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials:
Smoke Developed Index: Not to exceed 450.
Flame Spread Index: Not to exceed 25.

PROJECT CONDITIONS
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits. Manufacturers storage and handling instruction shall be reviewed and maintained.
Field Measurements: Take field measurements prior to component fabrication to ensure proper fitting of work.

EXAMINATION
Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
