Mock-Up: Construct a mock-up with actual materials in sufficient time for Architect's review and to not delay construction progress. Locate mock-up as acceptable to Architect and provide temporary foundations and support.
The intent of a mock-up is to demonstrate quality of workmanship and visual appearance.
If the mock-up is not acceptable, rebuild the mock-up until satisfactory results are achieved.
Retain mock-up during construction as a standard for comparison with completed work.
Do not alter or remove mock-up until work is completed or removal is authorized.
PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCE
Convene a conference approximately two weeks before scheduled commencement of the Work. Attendees will include Owner, Architect, Contractor, System Sub-Contractor, and trades involved. Agenda must include review of substrate conditions, requirements of related work, installation instructions, storage and handling procedures, protection measures, schedule, responsibilities, critical path items and approvals.
Document responsibilities of various parties and deviations from specifications and installation instructions.
DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations.
Protect from damage due to weather, excessive temperature, and construction operations.
PROJECT CONDITIONS
Maintain temperature, humidity, and ventilation environmental conditions within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.
Field Measurements: Verify actual dimensions of coiling partition openings by field measurements before fabrication.
WARRANTY

EXECUTION
EXAMINATION
Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly constructed and prepared.
Verify related Work performed under other Sections complete and in accordance with Shop Drawings.
Verify structural support is level.
Verify wall surfaces are of proper dimensions and acceptable for installation of partition system components.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect in writing of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
Coordinate with responsible entity to perform corrective Work on unsatisfactory substrates.
Commencement of Work by Installer will be deemed acceptance of substrates.
PREPARATION
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.

INSTALLATION
Install in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions, approved submittals, and in proper relationship with adjacent and contiguous construction.
Flush-Mounted Systems, Spacing: C-channel will indicate spacing required for side-tracks.
Double Wall Systems, Spacing: Height of system and 4 x 26 inch (101.6 x 660.4 mm).
Housing Installation: Install in compliance with system manufacturer's written instructions, according to system specified.
Install vertical tracks on one side first, ensuring they are touching side-by-side with no gap, allowing screen drum to fit properly on top. Flank both sides to tracks with wall fillers.
Attach drum diagonally onto existing tracks on one side, ensuring it's properly nestled. After system is fully installed at ceiling, install tracks on the opposite side.
Wall Curtain Panel: Install wall curtain panel, weight bar, bottom cover and end caps according to system manufacturer's written instructions.
Side Guides: Install side guides according to system manufacturer's written instructions.
Under-Housing Covers: Install under-housing covers according to system manufacturer's written instructions.
Control Box: Install control box in compliance with electrical requirements and system manufacturer's written instructions. Connect system to electrical power.
Finish ceiling and wall surfaces.
Install brackets to secure in place.
Seal around perimeter of system with acoustical sealant.
Motor Programming: Program according to manufacturer's written instructions.
FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
Field Inspection: Coordinate field inspection in accordance with appropriate sections in Division 01.

ADJUSTING, CLEANING AND PROTECTION
Adjust coiling partitions to operate smoothly, without warping or binding. Lubricate hardware and other moving parts.
Clean soiled surfaces of coiling partitions, to remove dust, loose fibers, fingerprints, adhesives, and other foreign materials according to manufacturer's written instructions.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
DEMONSTRATION
Engage a factory-authorized service representative to train Owner's maintenance personnel to adjust, operate and maintain coiling partitions.
