Loch^™ Data Sheet

Three Gisborne Schools have recently undergone a much needed retrofit of their older and relocatable, kitset classrooms as part of New Zealand's Ministry of Education Modern Learning Environment program. This project was initiated when it was identified that these types of buildings had potential structural failings and an upgrade of the structural integrity would present several benefits and extend the building life a further 20 years.

Achieving a customer-centric approach has become increasingly an important goal for Auckland City Council; as such, the focus on creating a 'found space retail experience™ has become a crucial element for their new Customer Service Centers.

As the business expanded it soon became apparent that the fast-paced, busy sales environment produced excessive levels of noise, making it difficult for advisers to communicate with customers over the phone.

Westmount School recently refurbished their Kaipara campus to include a new learning center designed around forward thinking learning styles. The modern learning center includes a large open collaborative area, banquette seating and glazed brainstorm and project rooms. Although aesthetically pleasing; the hard surfaces and large open area had the potential to produce high levels of noise reverberation and create a disruptive learning environment.

Holistic design studio Think and Shift are award winning spatial and product designers who deliver exceptional results.
