Daylighting and Natural Ventilation
Series 3500 dropout systems are gravity operated acrylic double dome, single leaf smoke vents. When a fire reaches in excess of 500 degrees F, the domes are designed to automatically drop out, allowing for hot gases and smoke to exit the building. In some cases, units can also be equipped with a fusible link that causes the domes to drop out when a certain temperature is achieved. Systems can also be used in conjunction with a facility's fire suppression system.
