DESIGN / PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Provide pool fencing to meet applicable code requirements.
SUBMITTALS
Submit under provisions of Section 01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements.
Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
Preparation instructions and recommendations.
Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
Installation methods.
Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings for each product and accessory required. Include information not fully detailed in manufacturer's standard product data.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Manufacturer Qualifications: A firm engaged in the manufacture of vinyl fence and gates of types and sizes specified, and whose products have been in satisfactory use in similar service for a minimum of five years.
Installer Qualifications: A firm with a minimum of two years of successful installation experience with projects utilizing vinyl fence and gates similar in type and scope to that required for this Project.

Pre-Installation Conference: Conduct pre-installation conference in accordance with Section 01 20 00 - Price and Payment Procedures. The date and time of the pre-installation conference shall be acceptable to the Owner and the Architect.
Prior to commencing the installation, meet at the Project site to review the material selections, installation procedures, and coordination with other trades.
Mock-ups are to be reviewed during the pre-installation conference.
Pre-installation conference shall include the Contractor, the Installer, and any trade that requires coordination with the work.
DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
Deliver materials to the Project site in manufacturer's original wrappings and containers, labeled with supplier's or manufacturer's name, material or product brand name, and lot number, if any.
Store materials in their original, undamaged packages and containers, inside a well-ventilated area protected from weather, moisture, soiling, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
SEQUENCING
Ensure that locating templates and other information required for installation of products of this section are furnished to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.

PROJECT CONDITIONS

EXECUTION
EXAMINATION
Do not begin installation until conditions have been properly prepared.
Verification of Conditions: Examine locations where fencing is to be installed for any conditions detrimental to the proper and timely completion of the work.
If preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
PREPARATION
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
Prepare the grade and remove surface irregularities, if any, which may cause interference with the installation of the fence.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
INSTALLATION
Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
Set posts and gate posts for gate openings as indicated on the Drawings.
Center and align posts, place concrete around posts and vibrate or tamp for consolidation. Recheck vertical and top alignment of posts and make necessary corrections.
Install gates plumb, level, and secure for full opening without interference. For double gates, install a drop rod. Adjust hardware for smooth operation.
CLEANING
Touch-up, repair, or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
Clean the work according to the manufacturer's written instructions. Post hole excavations shall be scattered uniformly away from the posts. Clean fence with mild household detergent and rinse well with clean water. Remove mortar from exposed posts using a 10 percent solution of muriatic acid followed immediately by several rinses with clean water.
PROTECTION
Protect installed products until completion of the project.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
