The NOVA OmniLock™ is a rotating hook-style vehicle restraint featuring an innovative patent-pending design to release RIG Wedge. RIG Wedge occurs when a trailer is pushed forward during loading or unloading, applying excessive pressure to the restraint's hook from the trailer's Rear Impact Guard (RIG). As a result, the truck driver must reverse the trailer to release the restraint. The newly designed hook operating mechanism allows the restraint to overcome RIG Wedge by relieving pressure on the hook when it disengages from the trailer's rear impact guard, allowing the hook to rotate down. The OmniLock™ also utilizes a secondary engagement zone to securely restrain RIGs with plates, including Intermodal chassis.
The OmniLock™ has a vertical engagement range of 9 to 31-inches (220 to 787-millimeters) and mounts to the dock face above ground level to stay clear of accumulated precipitation and debris. The NOVA Pedestrian Gate is an easy-to-operate, OSHA-compliant solution designed to prevent falls at shipping and receiving dock doors and pits in busy material handling environments. The NOVA Vehicle Restraint Light Kit is a “Restraint Condition Awareness System" (R-CAS) which provides extra visibility around the dock door for the dock attendant. More visible than standard control box communication lighting, this system uses multi-colored LEDs around the corners of the dock door to alert dock workers to the safety status at the dock position. Compatible with most rotating hook restraints on the market.

- The standard unit utilizes 48″ of RED, GREEN and AMBER* LEDs in the upper corners of the door to inform dock attendants, supervisors and truck drivers of the condition of the dock from a distance. *AMBER use is based on OEM fault conditions.

The NOVA Door position light kit is a Door Condition Awareness System (D-CAS) which informs drivers of the state of a drive-through overhead door even when the driver is unable to see its position. A 10′ colored LED Light strip is mounted to both the inside and outside of the door. A driver pulling in or backing in is supplied with door travel information.
